74 year old Chicago boy will never forget you Elvin. Saw you with Butterfield & you inspired me Sir. I sure do agree with your assessment of D.Chump.

He had the most beautiful TONE to his harp playing, and his lead guitarist Elvin Bishop was one the greats of the period.

I hope Paul cuddled and called that harmonica the next day. Damn, that solo was sexy smooth.

Very disciplined backing on this track, lots of space for the god to fill with sweet riffs and chops, for such a big band it is well controlled, he was in great form here and damn a Gibson Explorer, the only time I have seen him on one.

The great Paul Butterfield getting it done. Elvin Bishop on guitar. Michael Bloomfield had left the band earlier to form his own band, Electric Flag. Thanks.

Каждый раз, когда слушаю deep purple, восхищаюсь и поражаюсь - насколько уникальные эти музыканты. Любой из них великий. И как мне кажется, Блекмор очень много потерял, уйдя из команды.

It’s on the other side of the curve for Paul’s career, but I like their performance of “Everything’s…” a couple of years later at Woodstock a little better. Especially Buzzy’s guitar solo. It’s too bad 99% of the blues clubs my brothers and I used to go to here in Chicago are long gone

I just turned 54 man Paul Butterfield underappreciated. I am partly to blame. We should have all been screaming his name from the mountain top. My bad.
