Good to see some of your followers questions being answered. 2mm is a huge amount of play, I’d love to hear what that sounds like going down the road haha

Great episode 👍 With the nut on the bottom of the DO 35 ,I put a white mark on it and the hitch, and always give it a glance every time I walk past. And also with the caravan camber bolts,i put a line through it and it’s a peace of mind. Take care safe travels.

The recommended Cruisemaster DO35 hitch pin torque spec is 440Nm. I doubt very much that many caravan owners have a torque wrench big enough for this.

Thanks for demonstrating the actual how to steps. For the sake of asking, have you got any advice regarding any particular grease guns to purchase? Anyway, great video. Thanks again
@sepsadventures5 күн бұрын
I purchased the one in the video from Supercheap Auto the brand is ToolPRO and referred to as a pistol grip grease gun which does the job. In my opinion the best grease guns are made by Macnaught the brand we use in the mining industry but they are relatively expensive. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!

Hey mate. Can ya also grease the side bearings that pivot forwards and backwards. They must also be important.
@sepsadventures5 күн бұрын
A very good question and I believe you are referring to the yoke pivot points which do not have grease nipples. Stay tuned I will have further information regarding your question. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
@sepsadventures4 күн бұрын
I have investigated this further and have been advised by the manufacturer that these two points are not serviceable. The Yoke needs to be replaced when the free play at these two points are at 2mm. I appreciate this question and am going to do a follow-up video on this answer. Cheers!

I always wondered that small bit on top relying on a o ring with a thin plate locked in is hauling say a 3 1/2 tonnes down the rd is safer than a tow ball with a 360 hitch , im still guessing whats better ?
@sepsadventures6 күн бұрын
I imagine the product has undergone vigorous testing before being released into the market but I can see your point. I have thought about the springs keeping the plate in the locked position, can they fail or become weak. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!

Thanks Sep. I am always keen to see what your next video will be. We have the normal style hitch on our van. I know the DO35 are preferred for off road use, but do you consider them a better style anyway.
@sepsadventures6 күн бұрын
What I like about the DO35 is the 360 degree roll over capability not that we hopefully never need to test it. Cheers!

I have the same brand (I think) of ladder. At least it looks remarkably similar. My version also incorporates dual legs so it can be used as an "A" frame ladder if required. It weighs more (around 15kg from memory). I have also found from painful personal experience that one has to be very careful in activating the retraction clips. I have a bike rack fitted to the back of the van (2 bikes). The ladder is extremely useful when I need some extra elevation to correctly secure the bikes. When folded it fits snugly into the tunnel boot. Great also for access to clean the solar panels when required. I use it every trip. Almost a must-have for people who tow caravans. A great demo Sep for people who may be contemplating such a purchase. Well done once again.
@sepsadventures12 күн бұрын
It will certainly make it easier and safer than stepping onto the A frame then onto the toolbox and only able to reach the front section of the roof. Thanks again. Cheers!

Thanks Sep. Hope you had a good Christmas. We have one of those in our van and I love it. It came in very handy when we hit our TV antenna with a tree branch once. You got to be careful that you keep your fingers out when it retracting though!

Another informative and very useful presentation Sep. My caravan is a 2022 model Silver Valley brand. All my cupboard hinges are factory fitted exactly as yours. ie: upside down. As others have commented, how can so many manufacturers get this wrong? I have also checked my 150 series Toyota Prado. I have the upward opening rear window which has two gas struts. Both struts are fitted with the main cylinder body at the top. Looks like Toyota know what they are doing.

I've got a new wiring loom off eBay like yours and I think that they wire the diode the wrong way round. Yellow and white wire should be to the positive on the diode and the RED wire onto the negative of the diode. I think this would stop the spark being the wrong way round.

Excellent acquisition Sep. I bought the EGO 56v mower about 12 months ago. I now almost enjoy mowing 😂 I certainly looked at the various brands, Ryobi being one of them. I also have the mulching attachment, which I use regularly. My 56v is probably an overkill for my place, but what the heck. Certainly makes mowing easier and cleaner. Mine only has the "auto" function. Supplies the power boost if needed. Best wishes for your domestic duties mate!

I bought one of these about a year ago. It's an earlier model with one battery but essentially the same 36V mower. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. No more mixing petrol, no more pulling a starter rope. It's light and easy to push and does a great job. Good to see you made it home safe and sound.

It looks like it will do the job easily and we made it home without any problems. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
