I noticed that you used an Isobutane ( C4H10 / 0.9% ) mixture for your 50% LEL range. But the instrument is using a CH4 sensor ( as shown at the start-up screen ). Although you can indeed indicate 50% lel during the calibration sequence, is this not a little erroneous for that CH4 sensor? Shouldn’t the calibration gas mixture match the sensor being tested? Apologies if this seems like a daft question! 😊

This is Wrong.CPA and TCPA values have not any relation with the using of STW or SOG.We use STW for collision avoidance because we want to see the ACTUAL vector of our direction and not THE Course Made good.

Seachest will be near the keel.. With approx 23 m water head , the hydrostatic pressure on the valve and pipeline will be = 2.23 kg ( every 10 m - 0.98 kg).. On tankers we normally pressure test any pipeline to 1.5 times * MAWP Therefore 1.5 * 2.23 = 3.34 kg. 3.5 kg is general guideline considering max draft possible on a tanker .. which could be of a vlccc..coz for different drafts there can be different working pressure and different testing pressure.. This is just what I think.. no book has reasons for this..
