Who will come and fix the celling mount flange? Is it from zeiss service engineer or we have to provide our own plumber to drill and fix the celling flange doctor?
@seattlemicroscopedentist8626

Hi KR Dental Hospital. I apologize for not responding, been traveling for the past few weeks. The microscope company you are working with (Zeiss) should have connection with an engineer who can survey the ceiling and determine what needs to be done. Then hire a contractor who can follow the instructions from the engineer based on the spacial needs and requirements.

You're going to have to figure this out. Here in the United States we have engineers... not plumbers who manage this. A plumber is someone who deals with water and pipes... an engineer understands materials, physics, math and engineering. I would not trust a plumber. Find a builder/contractor who understands building plans and share the installation manual with them... see if they can help give you guidance.

@@k.rdentalhospitaldindigul4506 Hey there. Yes, they are very safe IF they are installed correctly. What type of scope are you planning to install? Each company has specific brackets to use for ceiling mount. In a couple of instances I have had to have an engineer come in and look at the site and give recommendations. If it is not installed correctly, a couple of things can happen.. 1. it could drop out of the ceiling (not good...ive had it happen) 2. it picks up vibrations of adjacent heating ducts/air conditioning units.

Hi Claudio - great question. I have used the Zeiss connect in the past but am currently using an external camera. There have been many upgrades to the program since I used it. Although the resolution is not as high as some external camera systems, it is quite good and I believe it does have some huge conveniences in terms of acquiring and managing images/files.

@@seattlemicroscopedentist8626 PERHAPS try to demo a MORA - I have been using Zeiss for about 10 years (first pico, now extaro) - I couldn't work without MORA - my extaro has both the doc port (beam splitter) and the MORA interface. I thought only endodontists used scopes without MORA, because they don't need to change their line of sight much since they only make access preps.

Okay, one mistake i made in my tutorial... the green filter is not for eye safety while using a laser! It’s actually to discern between blood 🩸 and tissue for surgeries! I was told this many years ago but had forgotten this. Sorry! Microscope filters for laser use are tricky and hard to come by. Some people have made their own. I suggest working with the scope company to find a solution that fits your personal needs.
