Another vote to go south. France is the best for cycling. The quiet B roads are such good quality. You can travel around the country easily without needing to go on busy roads. Drivers are so respectful to cyclists. When I was touring in France motorists, on occasion, would patiently wait behind me to pass and then wave as they went by. I remember you saying you used to live in France, thinking about it, so you probably already know all this! 😊

I have a Brooks B17S on my hardtail mountain bike. While it isn't the most comfortable it is a damn gorgeous saddle. To be honest it doesn't make much sense to have a Brooks saddle on a mountain bike that I mostly stand up on but along with wanting a Brooks saddle forever I got mine for only $70 on ebay in slightly used condition and it matches my tan/bronze color scheme of my bike perfectly. I decided to go with the B17S instead of the regular B17 because I wanted a smaller but wider saddle for my wider sit bones (the B17S is wider since it supposed to be intended for women).

I love that method!

Can you talk a bit about your touring bikes, what you like about them, what you hope it came with, etc. I am out here in the US and we are eye-balling for a surly disc trucker touring bike (steel, disc brakes). Interested to hear more. As well, how do you like your brooks saddles so far? (Love that video btw).
