For the start off thing, honestly that niche is more/less invalidated by cancan double bounty but ig that's just a minor thing anyways. As for the high skill floor, I heavily disagree, since balrog can just be randomly Spawned and U can expect him to get a big hit in, however balrog IS a unit with a high skill celling, since U can time him and other types of support to get an additional hit on bosses or to chain them completely, nd other stuff like that. But appart from a few nitpicks here and there, this is a rlly good analysis!

I think something not mentioned in the video is the uniqueness of balrog. No other unit (except for maybe yukimura) will ever perform as well close combat as Balrog, while many specialists or other top tiers could replace dasli phono and dphono in a loadout with little consequence most of the time. Balrog stands as the ultimate specialist while the other 3 are the ultimate generalists, which depending on how you look at it, could make Balrog stand above the rest.

Lesser demon was among the first ubers to be added after Nekoluga if I'm remembering correctly, along with other dynamites. Balrog has grown with ubers like Jizo, Aphrodite and seen them fall off. It's dumb but I get weirdly emotional thinking about this.

Am new is kasa jizo worth to evolve into true form? Do the stats of all form the same only range diff?

Am I an unapologetic Phonoa user? Yes. Do I believe he's perfect? Nuh-uh. For as much as I love Phonoa's kit, even I gotta admit he's got weaknesses, and big ones at that. Units like Dolphina, Mr. Mole, and Tackey can easily melt his HP if he can't handle them. But you know who can handle them? That's right, Balrog. Sure, Phonoa might not have many of Balrog's weaknesses, but Balrog also doesn't have many of Phonoa's own weaknesses. Not only that, but I highly doubt Phonoa would've been NEARLY as good as Balrog for Doremi's revenge. (Though I only got Phonoa after clearing every advent stage so I can't confirm his value for sure) They're both insane, but fill different roles. Of course, we all know the true winner, that's right, HUGE HERMIT FOR THE WIN !!

I know this is not related to the video, but since we are one the topic of “best Ubers,” I want to talk about Dark Kasli/Kasli the Bane. Mostly, why she is overrated. Now, upon reading this, I would like you to take this with a grain of salt. This is not meant to start a whole big argument. I’m just saying my opinion. Feel free to disagree. Here is why Kasli the Bane is overrated (I’ll refer to her as Dark Kasli). First, the lack of damage. Kasli has a good surge which mainly boost her dps and damage. This is where the problem starts though. Dark Kasli relies on her surge too much. If her surge misses or the enemy has immunity to surge, then Kasli is stuck with a low 17000 damage (2.9k dps). Immune to surge, counter surge, and resist surge are a big problem for Dark Kasli in the new game meta. And that low damage and dps can’t really get you anywhere. Next her curse. Her 100% chance to curse is one of the only reasons why she is good. Her curse can help deal with enemies that rely on their negative status effects. She can make Henry a lot easier too. That’s all to say about her curse. Pretty good. Lastly, her immunities. Kasli has good immunities, except one. Immune to warp can kill Dark Kasli. Not much people talk about this, but her immune to warp can be very bad (rarely good) when dealing with enemies. If a enemy slips into her blind spot, then she can’t reposition herself with immunity to warp. Immune to warp is not good for a sniper (same problem with Nobiluga). Overall Dark Kasli is still a good unit. Soon enough, she will fall off. It’s inevitable. Thank you for taking the time to read this, have a nice day.

We need this video for all the big 4. I heard someone say that Dasli isn't good in ZL amymore because of so much Counter-Surge. People need to be educated that Dalsi + required Meatshields still beat 90% of ZL.

Both the change in meta and talent benefit balrog, the insane dps and damage at strengths pair with the low cool down, with freeze cannons, it’s is just so insane as a Uber and as a cat. I can understand if you disagree, as not everyone is use to balrog, it might not be your style.

I think one major factor for Balrog is that he is extremely good in stages that your unit are not going survive and are expected to be replaced like in Daboo, Hannaya, Cat God, King Wah Wah, etc. stages. He is the best damn Uber in these kinds of stages because neither spam nor backliners can survive in these stages, you units like Super Rare which have strength in the individual units while still being good cooldown. Balrog is basically a Super Rare with Uber stats.

I’ve been doing mostly No Gacha/ No Uber recently but Balrog is typically one of the first I pick when I use Ubers Incredibly reliable and strong choice on majority of stages. Been a staple of my rusher lineup for a while along with Yukimura

eh idk i would argue that he's nowhere near #1 (All credits to Soul of the Maniac Marc) 1. Dasli I don't need to discuss this. 2. Izanagi. People really did not give izanagi enough credit. Absurd damage/dps, with great health, conjure, piercing attacks, able to solo many stages, etc. 3. Phonoa Phonoa is still part of a lot of people's "big 4" so i have no need to explain 4. Dhono People seem to have forgotten how great dhono is. I will go into detail if anybody replies and asks 5. Mitama Arguably #4. Still insane, especially with uril making curse less of a threat 6. Ganesha Probably the most controversial on this list, ganesha. Heres an essay: Ganesha has 150912 hp, 5 kbs, good 400 range, average 114.5333... second cooldown, 76032 dph, 10415.34 dps, ld with a massive hit area of 275-725, a hit area of 450, average for uber is about 400, and 275 is so close he's probably being hit if someone's in his blindspot, and immune freeze, kb, and wave. So what, these stats are good but not incredible? Yeah, but I didn't mention, his damage multiplies by 2.5 at 80% hp, so after 1 kb. Making his dph 190080, and his dps a staggering 26080.35. 26k dps on the entire field with 3 more chances to rebound, good hp, by the time an enemy is in his blindspot they already knocked him back and got hit hard, 325 friggin piercing range. I don't have much else to say, this guy can easily carry so many stages, plus he's unaffected by Henry and is a Mr. Mole counter, 2 of the most infuriating enemies in the game. Very safe, ridiculous dps, what more is there to say? Save your deyes for this guy. And then, finally, balrog at #7. I would like someones opinion that also is actually end game and has these units, (not anybody from the public battle cats discord). I will send further info for placements, just mention who you want to be explained in replies

Im actually so happy to see more people talk about gravolodons general usage, because I've used him in ul, sol, and some of the advent stages and every time i used him for general usage people would always think im goofy.

The big 4 for me seem to simply be the best in the some of main categories of units. Dphono is the ultimate cc, Phono is the ultimate sniper, Dasli is the ultimate aoe dps and balrog is the ultimate single dps. They simply all have a different area of brilliance with balrogs requiring the most planning to work. I feel this leads to perception of him being quite different to the other 3.

yeah the argument that balrog doesnt work on spam stages is stupid, like ok dasli and phono dont work on tackey stages, just because theres an uncommon archetyoe of stage they dont work on doesnt make them worthless, also no need to say balrog is an synergy unit, so are dasli and phono, try using them without meatshields or tanks, and watch them fucking die.

Save yourself the time. TLDR: Balrog can carry late game stages easily you just need to work around him and clear peons with slime or uril. Thunderblast cannon is really good with him. And on boss stages, it’s pretty easy to demolish them.
