A very natural looking pond for sure. My pond is much more formal however I installed my liner the same way you installed yours and the liner is hidden from sight no matter where you stand to look at the pond. Best way to do it. 👍🏻

Just want to say your pond is one of the biggest and nicest natural ponds out of those I subscribe to. Could you do another pond walkthrough video and tell us how things are going ? Pond volume, how many fish, the filtration system (and how that's coping with the fish load) and show a filter clean and a general talk about the maintenance (everyone loves to watch a good filter clean and a bottom drain purge 😉) and perhaps let us watch you giving the koi some food/treats also how often you replace UV bulbs. I know that's a lot but with a bit of editing it would make for a lovely pond update video 👍

The new solar CCTV camera looks like a great piece of kit, certainly appears easy to install and produces a high quality picture. I'll definitely have to check them out. Cheers

possibly but when established the pipe insulation goes green and the plants also cover it. Thanks.

WOW what a beautiful garden mate - it reminds me of my last house - I was born and raised in Nottingham but emigrated to Newfoundland Canada in 1990. I miss the English gardens. You did a lot of work my friend. I subscribed. I keep Koi carp here in Canada but it is quite the challenge.

Certainly a lot of work putting in that drainage pipe. I'm so glad I was watching and not the one doing the digging. 😅 So nice to see Roxy helping (?) out as well. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a Happy New Year. All the best in 2024.

I would of bought a new gate valve and unscrew the old one and use the part from the new one the put the 4 bolt back

How low below the water level is the top of your cetus sieve? My pump keeps running dry and shutting down 🤦‍♂️ only using 2" pipework though 🤔

The weir moves up and down according to the water level. So the the top of the weir is always the same level as the surface of the pond water. Thanks.

Thanks for your kind words. I built the stone work over the liner. So that when the water is half way up the stonework, the liner can never be seen. 👍

You say you have a "pump"? fit a float switch just in case some thing like this happens again. A float switch can be wired to turn off all electrics to pump, UV, what ever, worth £10 any day!

@@pomfretspond588 Ita a float that sits in the pond via a wire, when your water level drops it will automatically turn off the power, doo you tube/google search for it. I had two on mine one for low water and one if my filter blocked up giving high water level.

FMG is good for a lot of parasites but won’t really get rid of Flukes if that’s your problem which will need a specific treatment but I’m not too sure how your Sturgeon will cope as they can’t really handle the kind of treatments required for Koi which is why I’ve never added one to my ponds!

You could add a stray hilding them together just use some inner spacers so they not binding the fittings

Ide blame an impact driver for the messed up screws. Or mabe just one uga duga to many causing the screws to pop. Ide go with stainless steel screws buddy save you having rusting screws within 2 years casukng itntoneventualy happen again.

You can reuse filterfloss but if you dont wanna do it every day do a couple of layers on top of each other. then once a 3/4 days you can clean them off and reuse them.

Roxy is beautiful and obviously very intelligent dog. I love how alert she always appears with her ears straight up taking in every sound around her. Fish are looking quite happy as well. Cheers.
