Excellent analysis! I will never understand why people feel the need to infantilize Drake. Whitney Alford is not suing. Dave Free is not suing. All the people, especially women, that Drake hurt have never sued for defamation or anything else. When is this culture going to stop babying Drake? He’s a grown ass man who is responsible for his own actions. But people always feeling the need to comfort him or have empathy for him when he has been a horrible person who has NO empathy for anything or anyone-really, it just infuriates me, especially as a Black woman. Thank you for this. New subscriber (thanks to seeing you on all those Kendrick reaction compilations. I no longer say or think of the name Drake, he is forever, for eternity known as Canadian Karen Aubrey. I never liked Canadian Karen Aubrey even back on Degrassi The Next Generation ( the characters JT and Liberty were the best young characters from that show, aside from the adult characters who were from the original Degrassi Junior and Senior High back in the 1980s). I don't know of any of his music except that song with Kayne, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and him I didn't remember the name until you mentioned it. And I only had seen that video once. The other song was that awful, horrendous song with that Sexy Red woman who cleared her throat and it didn't help at all. Don't remember that title either. So I am one of those ppl who believe Drake doesn't have classic albums or songs. Prince, Michael, Janet, The Judd's, Reba McEntire, Kendrick, Madonna, Tupac, Nas, Biggie, Lil Kim, Aaliyah, Selena, Luther Vandross, SWV, and New Edition are just some musicians who have classic songs/albums. Even New Kids On The Block and NSYNC have classic songs, not Canadian Karen Aubrey. And now he tries to sue reactors like he tried to sue Spotify and is still trying to sue UMG. He has but the hands that fed him, has thrown almost everyone under the bus, and burned bridge. Even if he does go independent, the only ones to buy his music or his concert tickets are Ov-Ho stans and Canadian Karen Aubrey stans.
