This is a good camera to start with and the Tamron 17-70 f2.8 would be a perfect lens for that.

Thanks for the review and demo. How effective is it for adding haze to the background of a room about 12x20 feet? I have used AC powered fog machines for this, but they are bulky. I love the compact size of this Ulanzi product, but wonder how well it can fill a large-ish space.

It’s a pretty big upgrade especially in the video side of the camera. Also the autofocus is straight from Sonys new $6,000 camera and it’s really good

Both great lenses. The tamron has stabilization on it so that’s a plus. If you plan to move to full frame at some point go with the sigma. Just a heads up though, the sigma is a pretty heavy lens and makes it pretty front heavy with the a6xxx cameras

great review, only thing that I think is missing is a rain fly, I've purchased 6L slings that come with a rain fly, never know when you might get caught in a downpour :)

Great job on the video Kyle! Thanks for making it. The 15mm G lens lives on my a6700 (occasionally I will use a 35mm CCTV lens adapted from C-Mount) but I often want something with some zoom. It's down to this lens or the 16-55 G from Sony.

It’s a great hybrid camera! On that shot it was the 18-50 lens in standard stabilization.

Dose the a6700 and the Sigma 18-50 work together with the AI autofocus. Like Eye AF. It dosnt work with my a6500. Disappointing

The remote + - does not seem to change the settings. The red button fogs but the other setting done respond. It also has this R & L icon...whats that.......thanks

Yes you can use a usb-c cable straight to the camera

**Focus hunting - focus breathing is a physical characteristic of the lens, something newer Sony cameras are able to correct for.

All of the sigma trio prime lenses are great since they are a f1.4 but if you need a zoom lens I’d check out the sigma 18-50 f2.8

Nice video right there .I will suggest to Sony users you go for the DJI Mics or go for the Sony mics becos you got the slot to place right on it. That's why you bought your Sony cam. Compatibility is the key.

Would love to see side by side comparison of following lenses on FF camera - APS-C Sigma 30mm f1.4 on crop mode - FF Sony 35mm f1.4 with focus breathing compensation Guess technically it should be +- the same focal length with price difference 5 times.

Record Setting on my ZV1 options are only 25p 100M & 25p 60M only

That’s what you will have if you’re in PAL mode which is what you want to be in outside of North America. It has to do with power grids and frame rates. If your in the wrong mode you would get flickering in lights

But then i just wanna upload the video to youtube and only use imac for video editing. Switch to NTSC mode should not affect this right? Sorry i have no knowledge on this kind of thing. it mostly depends on codec used when recording 10 bit footage. Like on my x-h2s, pro res is easily editable. h265 (i forget what the sony equivalent is) and it slows to a crawl. i edit h265 on my macbook since it slices through h265
