Every time I go on a "Tubular Bells" binge, this performance is the one I most look forward to hearing again. All the performers - especially the pianist - are outstanding and the arrangement is a nice complement to Mr. Oldfield's original work.

Hi James , as non sentient entities, although their role is satirical the Zombies do not qualify as performers in accordance with the stautory provisions of Part II of the Copyryght Designa and Patents Act (1988) . Similarly the choreography and performance of their their line dancing routine is exempt from the act which leaves more loot to be gobbled up by the living! Thanks for listening and commenting.😀

Agreed ...Box, Byron, Thain, Hensley& Kerslake unsurpassable...though Return to Fantasy had its moments and I think High and Mighty was underrated . Firelfly would have been amazing with Byron singing...

The best part of the song Burn is Glenn Hughes amazing bridge. When this Sinfonnica singer 2:18 can’t hit those high notes of the bridge, you know there’s no point sitting through this homage.

Thanks for listening to a little bit of the variations. Music is such a subjective experience and as the text explains the idea was not to produce a facsimilie by replicating what was done in 1974 but to try a different approach.😀

The original might be the album I've listened back to back the most times, and I didn't think I'd get much else from this version. Instead I was blown away and wish I could hear it live

Well spotted Sir, we worked for years with the late , great Mr Hensley. Its currently out of print but we produced thr e-union concert at Shepherd's Bush empire and also the Hensley Wetton album 'More than Conquorers.' The copy will be ammended to reflect all five members!

Much appreciated Chris. We really enjoyed making these arrangements and recordings. The vinyl edition sold out years ago although there are still CD copies , must do a coloured vinyl repress
