Did you watch section 16:10 in this video? I go through the process to connect the cameras. Have you tried other protocols? Have you tried ONVIF ? Have you enabled DHCP on the ptz camera webpage or menu settings? You have the cameras IP address ? Are you able to control the camera but NOT able to see a video image?

In addition, I read somewhere that it could have something to do with auto-tracking, but my cameras do not support that. I have 2 Avkans NDI HX PTZ cameras (AV-EV20-NDI).

Hey there. Thank you for the feedback and support. I really appreciate it. So have you tried the joystick zoom control AND the seasaw zoom control at the bottom left of the controller? Both zoom options are giving you the same zoom issue? I’m not sure 100% what is cause the issue but I would suggest to maybe try a different protocol, like ONVIF or Sony Visca. Maybe that will help. Worse case if this doesn’t help I would suggest for you to send an email to Avkans support team as I’m sure they will be able to help. They have been really helpful with several of my questions. Yes you should be able to have the M2 connected to OBS and have the hdmi output as well at the same time as shown in this video around the 9:30 mark. I’m not sure 100% what the issue could be. But fee things you can try. - power off and on the M2. - use a different usbc cable. - try usb 2:0 or 3.0 port. - try adjust something to do with your video fps on your cameras or OBS. - or hdmi cable Keep me updated. I’ll try and do some more testing and researching to see if I find a solution for you.

I had noticed that you were able to have a picture on both your monitor and in OBS. I really appreciate your response. I'll confirm the issue when I get a new one.

If you NEED iso recording this is probably not the switcher for you because it doesn’t support ISO recording. I just recently reviewed the Rodecaster video which supports iso. And I also recently reviewed the Yolobox Ultra that supports ISO. Both good options. The Ultra does support 4k streaming and recording. But not 4k iso recording for more than 2-3 outputs.

Yes you can disable the gesture controls and manual control the camera with the mobile phone app called “OBSBOT Start”. And I have also recently purchased ptz camera joystick controller that I have managed to control this Tail Air camera wirelessly. Do you have the cameras IP set to DHCP? And do you have the controllers IP set to DHCP? I believe that was my first step. Then I also ensured my cameras ONVIF protocol was enabled either in the cameras menu settings on the camera or on the cameras webpage or software

@@ntchi thank you very much. Yes it works just the same with other PTZ cameras. It will show all info and have control of the shutter and gain and WB etc. One thing that I will mention though. The controller will show a general number value of the camera setting. For example the controller will show the camera shutter speed value for example 1-10. Which doesn’t 100% reflect the camera shutter speed for example 1/60. Hopefully that makes sense. Here is another example yo hopefully explain. The controller will say your at shutter speed 4. But your camera is actually set to 1/60. So if you bring the controller shutter speed value to 5 the your camera will now be 1/80. And so on and so on. So what I do to around this. I just set my manual exposure settings on the actual camera menu and if I need to adjust the exposure of the camera on the controller, then I will just adjust the IRIS instead of the shutter speed. Because I like to ALWAYS have my shutter speed double my frame rate so I will set that in the camera menu and I will NOT adjust the camera shutter on the controller. I will just adjust the cameras IRIS or Gain setting on the controller instead. Because it doesn’t matter to me what IRIS I’m using. And it is easy to find gain setting to zero because you can just rotate it all the way counter clockwise and the gain will be at zero and I can increase it from there if I need. Same concept applies to white balance if your using manual white balance. I just set it in the camera so I can see the real number settings on the camera menu itself. Because the controller will just show you a general number value that doesn’t correspond with the cameras value. But don’t forget we can access the cameras menu directly from the controller which is really nice. All in all. I’m happy with it to be honest. And I’m sure if we have any suggestions for the AVKANS support team they will hopefully make the changes we request in a firmware update. We are the end users and can make suggestions to them based on your experience and suggestions. Hope this helps. This may be officially the longest comment reply I wrote on KZbin ever lol.

100W is powerful yes. But having that 220B would be even better. I’m aiming to get an even more powerful SmallRig light to go with this RC100 B. The portability is the main reason I wanted the RC100B. So many powering options.

Well first off this Talent is half the price compared to Ultra. Also the Talent is much smaller screen. I like the fact the Talent doesn’t use internal batteries which be good for longevity of the Talent. The Ultra does have more HDMI inputs which is nice. Overall both great products. To save money I would lean towards the Talent.

I haven’t seen a new firmware update from Zeapon. For 24fps it could be a little too fast for some shots. For 60fps or higher for slow mo it is good for me. I appreciate your support and feedback. Keep on touch.

For the preview to show you need to push one of the preview button at the very button. Labels as 1-2-3-4. When you press 1 of them, they will alluminate green. Which mean the preview is active. The row of buttons above the preview button are the program buttons which will aluminate in red once you have selected one. The program buttons are labeled 1-2-3-4. Which are essentially your hdmi inputs. If you need more help, let me know.
