I think you can compare this concept to salted caramel. We as a specie prefer everything sweet, it's the way our brain is trained to work. He wants all the sugar he can get to. But too much of it not only would be overwhelming, but also will dull down the feeling of ecstasy. This is why we need a bit of salt in our sugar to really feel it

I think it’s ridiculous to take a side in this debate. To say either world is a perfect or better time is to deny reason. Today’s world has a litany of problems that just simply didn’t exist before, they couldn’t have. The culture wasn’t the same, the technology wasn’t the same, the people weren’t the same, but that time period came with its own problems and its own positives. Society will never be a utopia, nor will it ever be a dystopia. Today’s world isn’t perfect, the 50’s weren’t perfect, but hell, even then, there were parts of it back then that seem admirable to now, just as there’s parts of today’s life I can’t see myself without.

As an American I am ashamed. However, The Rockefellers destroyed our educational system years ago because they wanted a nation of workers, and not a nation of thinkers. I am glad that my mother was European (Dutch), and that she taught us to read and write at a very young age. In general, we Americans live in a bubble that has been produced by the controlled media.

And I started laughing. A textbook example of gaslighting. So simplistic as to be crude. Never mind the documentaries, never mind the photos, never mind the memories of those who lived then - only the current narrative is important. It was as bad then as it is today, so today it is awesome, so you people have nothing to complain about: you are living in paradise. And, of course, as with propaganda: we publicize what fits the narrative and leave out what doesn't. Textbook methods. I wonder why such propaganda nonsense was offered to me by YT. Immediately the channel blocked. From the point. Fortunately, even the dumbest Americans are beginning to see how this cesspool is falling apart.

@@TiagoGomez-hb9te I didn't know that documentary material and hard sociological data is "nostalgia". But of course, gaslighting requires denying facts, so you deny them regardless of the circumstances. You guys are like a stripped-down record: you keep repeating the same thing over and over, thinking that suddenly someone will believe this farts, since you keep repeating them.
@p0k314COM9 сағат бұрын
@@TiagoGomez-hb9te BTW: Sure, those posters with laughing faces were also typical propaganda. But it was a world, after all, a fairly normal one, where the family was the basis, sodomites were not put on a pedestal, tradition was respected, and money was an add-on, not the goal in life. Not perfect, but far from the current decadence. If you want to see these kinds of conditions, I invite you to Europe: here it still works (well, I wonder why).

American speaking here, I think I know why most of the modern population of the USA is going downhill in intelligence, my personal take, and this is just an observation because I’m only in 12th grade after all… 1.) social media- especially, for people around my age, I think a lot of problems have originated from these stupid trends, not just the USA of course, but it’s a very bad problem here, people are so brainwashed and hooked to there phone that they can’t function 5 minutes without watching some moron swallow a Lego or something. 2.) Adults- I think adults are not really being too responsible with raising their kids to be better in life.. 3.) Modern public schools- (at least from where I am from in the USA) teachers do nothing remotely close to “teaching,” instead they just shove a test in front of our face and somehow think we already know everything, also, this leads to lots of bad grades, then that turns into school burnout, which eventually leads to dropout. 4.) USA is “too” free. Now this might be a little controversial for some, but having a government that’s too free can be troublesome… certain groups such as the LGBTQ, some protesting organizations, religious congregations, judgy people, and highly looked upon influencers tend to always cause some sort of trouble to stir up their people and attack average, every day people to force themselves to be like them.. eventually, the what might happen is that people will get too comfortable with this free country and do even more horrendous things by taking advantage of it. 5.) No justice / unfair crime system - now I’ve seen this plenty of times in my life.. a drunk driver crashed into an innocent family of 4, killing all of them, then, that’s drunk driver somehow walks away Scott free with no charges, just a warning or a temporary ban from driving… a thief completely cleaned out a small store, and he only got 3-5 years in prison, then once upon release, he did it again.. but no, it’s the end of the world if some average dude gets pulled over for going 5mph over the speed limit.. 6.) laziness- now this is a problem all over my city, there’s homeless / jobless people all over the place… and most of these people only look like they’re about 25 -35 years old, and they look plenty capable enough to get a job, then they like standing on the side of the street and bumming from everyone else, I stopped for one once, just to see if he wanted some food, but he asked for $50?! I didn’t even have that much money on myself that moment, let alone give it to this fully capable man.. so I went to a store, grabbed a job form, then went back to the man, handed it to him, and he started yelling and immediately crumbled the paper up and there it down.. 7.) The American Dream is dead (except for the super wealthy)- Now with the USA as one of the wealthiest countries in the world, you’d expect a great life.. it’s quite the opposite for half of the people such as myself here.. in America, the middle class is quickly vanishing, you’re either poor or rich.. there’s a certain trend called “the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer.” The common man is breaking by his back so the rich man can live comfortably.. unless you’re rich or wealthy , there’s no such thing as living comfortably in America, I barely see me mom and dad anymore because they’re still working very hard just to pay the bills and buy basic necessities.. my dad works a 7am to 5pm job, and my mom works a graveyard shift. They barely make ends meet.. Joe Biden hasn’t helped much either (more on that later) my dad is turning 53 this year, and my mom is 49.. and they’ve already accepted the fact that they won’t be able to retire ever in their life.. and it made my dad very depressed for a while, but I’m getting a job to hopefully be able to support them for as long as I can. 8.) Democrats- for all I know (I don’t really get into politics) democrats in my family have a very bad rep of making life harder for poor income families like mine, Mr. Biden for example, inflation, worthless spending, and foreign spending.. Biden seems to spend more time worrying about other countries instead of his own… but that’s all I have for now, might come back later and add more..

Mr. BritMonkey! Methinks thou art a bit ethnocentric! The United States has many problems, most would be solved if our citizens would return to our Christian values, repent of our sins, and elect representatives who adhere to the limitations on government listed in the US Constitution and our State Constitutions. The American education system no longer teaches the constitution and the deep state is gaining more and more power over us; If we were to unload the American UNESCO-controlled communist indoctrination public school system, Americans would become the best-educated people in the world! Freedom and the proper limitations on Government produced the American economic and political juggernaut which Marxists and globalists have been working to destroy for many years, and have been having amazing success!

Since you quote from the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights, you should also quote Article 29 Paragraph 3 of the declaration which states: "These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations." So the United Nations can deny any of these rights any time the United Nations wants to, thus making the UN a totalitarian governing body. The UN charter was written by the Communist Alger Hiss in conjunction with Molotov and other American and Russian Communists. The American education system has been purposefully dumbed down by our deep-state government controlled school system with increasing control by UNESCO as our US government surrenders our national sovereignty to these supranational bodies (same as British schools and in all countries within Western civilization) because dumb people are easily controlled and made ready for dominion by the UN global Marxist state. The globalists (who are also Marxist) are seeking to create a North American Union (similar to the European Union) which they hope to stitch together with other regional governing bodies into a one world government. If I could paraphrase Lord Acton, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely! A global government will not be a good thing!

Those who wish for the good old days are usually those who feel they have lost the power their kind had in Those days. The 1950's was sure not a good time if you were black, Jewish, Hispanic, gay, or even a woman. The 1950's and before were just a time of terror for said groups. So, in spite of all the problems of our era, this is the best for some of us.
