With the Added weight of the GX , will u be adding a Haynes Transmission Cooler?
@DIYSpeedGarageАй бұрын
I just upgraded my radiator to a bigger/thicker aftermarket one, that should help with transmission temps as the radiator is also a transmission cooler.

When you take out the injector , how do you clean inside so no dirt gets in the hole at the bottom , & what did you use to get the copper seal out . Great video 👍
@DIYSpeedGarage2 ай бұрын
You can push in a small thin cloth/rag piece, don't worry too much about a little bit of cleaner going down the hole because it evaporate quickly. Also if any carbon goes down into the hole it's ok, the engine will burn it up easily. Just make sure nothing metallic falls in there. The copper washer is easy to get out, if it's stuck because it's sticking from carbon then just spray some carb and choke cleaner in it then quickly use a hook/curved pick tool to pull it out.

What's the advantage of doing this vs. using the OEM, welded-in recovery point that's RIGHT THERE, two inches away from the aftermarket one?
@DIYSpeedGarage3 ай бұрын
Those welded-in hoops are not recovery points. They are mostly for tie down during transporting. Rated recovery points are made for recoveries and are rated for a specific weight.

Can anyone confirm panel fitment on a 2017 GX460? I understand the sites do not say they are compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean the clips, etc. are different.

@k3nzilla4 ай бұрын
I will have to try that next.
@DIYSpeedGarage4 ай бұрын
Have someone go in the driver's seat, put the GX in reverse, and then you can use a multi meter or 12v power probe to see if your getting power. If you're getting power then it's just burnt out bulbs, if no power then there could be a burnt fuse or a cut in the wiring.

I am thinking about the X2 battery as well, but is it really a lot heavier than the OEM? Battery plus shows it at an over 56lbs I believe. Seems pretty heavy but not sure if you were able to compare to the OEM. Other than weight how has it been performing for you?

It's been great, no issues at all. Car cranks and starts super quick. Not sure if there is much of a weight difference. I recommend it.

@juanshaftpatel7488 I could've gotten the factory grey grill but the gloss black looks VERY good! It's ok, I'm pulling the front bumper off anyways because I need to do my front timing cover gasket, got a bit of an oil leak. Also after that repair I'm installing a hidden winch mount and winch so either way I'll have plenty of time to paint the trims.

Radar detectors have been illegal here in Au for about 30 years. If you have a W211 you don't need a radar detector because a speed limiter is part of the cruise control system.

Speed limits and cruiser controls are for the good sheep. There are those of us that live free and don't worry too much about following the sheep herders. It's your car, drive it how you want to. 😎

@DIYSpeedGarage7 ай бұрын
I wanted extra lift by going up from stock 60 to 65 and also keeping the same size wheels. So basically I got extra sidewall and a little extra lift. It's just a good balance for me. Trust me I did consider it 😎

@@DIYSpeedGaragehow is the road noise and ride comfort after switching to AT tires?
@DIYSpeedGarage7 ай бұрын
No noticable difference. If anything it might be less noise because there's more sidewall and more tread. The KO2's have pretty good road manners although they took some effort to balance in the beginning, now they seem to have settled and are balanced, no vibrations even up to 85-90mph. They are a good tire, I can't complain at all.

No problems, holding up very well. The kit included brackets that reinforce the sheet metal of the door from the inside. It's a solid carrier.

Hi Sammy, do you still have the included / active subscription or your autel unit? I was just about to purchase this, and ran across a very disturbing post regarding Autel's lock-out. After update subscription ends, they basically turn this into an expensive OBD2 scanner, with coding capabilties locked out unless you shell out another $700.00 to renew. This is crazy. Can you confirm?
