Ian's ability to go in and out of such a controlled falsetto continues to amaze me almost 20 years later. What a frickin stud!

You want to chase, this rabbit down a hole You start to slide and lose grip of control Make haste, it's time, to ruin or reward You say "give in" then you beg for more You'll bury this, slow down It's all this system breeds You'll bury this, slow down, it's time to make amends Save your eyes for this place where I define you Myth or desire When it's true love you held dear, feel it rising So cut me, to size, I'm losing shape through all this You call me sublime, you know that's such a waste of energy. Will I change, your mind if I could show you my way? A black stain on your heart, you know that's not what i want to see. You'll bury this, slow down, it's time to make amends (Always in vain now) Save your eyes for this place where I define you Myth or desire When it's true love, you held dear, fear your horizons You want to chase, this rabbit down a hole You start to slide and lose grip of control Make haste, it's time to ruin or reward You say "give in" and then you beg for more You'll bury this, slow down, it's time to make amends I crave you Set your eyes on this place where I define you Myth or desire When it's true love, you feel Save your eyes for, this place where I define you Myth or desire When it's true love you feel here. Feel it rising

I just heard a BOT song on the radio and it was pretty good. Somehow I was drawn to re-listen to this track to find out if my prior criticism was unwarranted.I was not wrong, it is awful. Clearly this guy's voice without processing is very weak and lifeless.What is worse is that the guitar is not in tune - sounds like the A string is really flat.I put it down to raw live performance with no studio massage (guitarist should have a better ear though).But cover a Marvin Gaye song? These guys did themselves no favours at all.

I suggest you have your ears cleaned out!! You obviously haven't heard Ian's voice live in concert. and for the A string being flat ...rubbish it's round!!! :)
@justindaley2460

Andre VanderHeyden - This performance is utter garbage. I have heard BOT tracks before that I have quite liked. The guy's voice though is typically heavily double-tracked/echoed/processed. What you hear on this clip is unprocessed (dry signal) and his voice is very very weak. It's amazing what tricks can be used to disguise mediocrity these days.

You're some kind of special specimen... This isn't perfect (thank fucking God!!) but it's a very sweat, original and passionate cover. Go do better with your flat strings and flat voice mate. Please link your version

+Craig Jones 1.Sweat? - I'm not interested in the guy's body fluids - each to their own. 2. Original? - It's a cover. 3. Passionate? - I pity your girlfriend! My comments were an honest observation. Should you ever take time to listen to Marvin Gaye's classic you will realise that it should have been left alone. - this is just a dirge. I'll say no more.
