So. You secure the car while in Neutral. So you can spin it around? Regards KevinM

I presume from the comments that the maker of this video has passed away. If so, my condolences to his family and friends. I do have a question though, so, maybe someone else can answer it - the technique shown in the video, does it apply to a W204 (2008 C-Class)?

Yes, it looks the same on w204.

this is acctually the only video i managed to find to show which way to turn it to expand brake shoes. Instead of taking whole caliper and disc off to check it. Thanks! More videos with MB please :)

I have a Mercedes clk280 and I’m having trouble replacing the disc as the shoes are extended, I have adjusted the shoes to the lowest level but still the shoes are too far extended to allow the disc back on?
@nAN3ftw4 жыл бұрын
If u put it to the lowest point then use a hammer. Tap a few times on the brake disc, not on the contact surface where the pad goes. Its not the shoes that hold it, its the rust.

Nice video, I am no mechanic but I now have a working footbrake on my W212. Looking at the comments below a real shame there won't be more helpful videos to help idiots like me.
