Being able to layer packages with ostree makes it so you don't have to reinstall things like AUR packages after each update, and bazzite is often faster with kernel updates than valve. I've also had a bug with remote play solved by changing to bazzite, and haven't had a single drawback yet.

There’s gotta be a better way to mass load multiple movies at once. My dream is to have every Oscar nominated film ever loaded, but that would take ages.

I have the same keyboard, also type Dvorak on it. I’m currently looking for something new as my accuracy on this kb has gone to crap. Not sure why exactly, but it’s time for a change anyway.

You can't make any conclusion how the glasses perform by using colorblind tests. The tests are designed for direct unfiltered viewing only. An example of this is to try using a piece of pink cellophane. You will most likely "pass" the test, but you are not seeing "normal" color! (Many of the competing glasses brands essentially do this. You gain red-green distinction, because red is lighter & green darker, but are not seeing red & green any better.) I find it interesting your reporting "weird colors" on screens, or indoors, with the sunglasses & no improvement indoors with either. I (not colorblind) regularly use both indoor & outdoor glasses, inside & outside. I don't see any "weird" colors on screens, nor with man-made colors. The main thing I note different is the shifting of purple & violet toward magenta or pink with the outdoor glasses, & muting of blues. This is understandable as Enchroma is attempting to bring up the red & attenuate the blue (which overwhelms the red for the colorblind). Oranges also get shifted somewhat toward red, which also makes sense.

I always rip my own dvd/blu ray's then handbrake to compress. 1) its legal (mostly) 2) it supports the companies directly and hopefully keeps physical media available rather than restrictive and not consumer-friendly streaming services

What about transactional-updates and Zypper for openSUSE and SUSE distros?
@JustinGarrison
@JustinGarrison 23 күн бұрын
Are those updates done at the package magnet level? The options I describe are OS level
@chargio2k
@chargio2k 23 күн бұрын
@@JustinGarrison Yes, transactional-updates works at OS level, it creates a read-only base system and adds overlays to allow required changes (like password changes with an immutable /etc)

It still is cheap, I mean inexpensive for soldering iron the pine. Is it a hobby enthusiast iron or can you actually use it in production or let's say a big soldering job that you doing at home in your shop or in your basement or wherever?

So far I've only used it for small jobs. Once I need to do a lot of soldering I get my larger iron out.
