Glad to see you here today man. I enjoyed your sketchbook videos of the past, but regardless of what content you produce, I hope you have a good time.

Hey Will just came across this video just realized it was 7 months ago, man time fly's I had came across your page a while back it was maybe 5 years ago or so and it was around the time my Grandmother had passed away I had started drawing seriously around that time and then my Grand father died one month later. I am telling you this because watching your videos helped me focuse on something positive rather then going out drinking and becoming self destructive . I choose to move through the hurt and it was good to know that I was not alone in this world. Your art made me not only want to be a better artist but a better person. I am now a Christian and not just a christian who reads the Bible on sundays lol it has become apart of my life, God has become apart of my everyday life. I pray that you are able to get back on track and are able to share your gifts withthe world again. I dont know if you noticed but God is calling his people and we need more hope and love in this world and we can do this With God through our Gifts that we have been given. God Bless Will and thankd you again. And remember Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Hey Will, I randomly remembered your channel for the first time in years. I had a lot of big, stressful life changes this year and for the first time in AGES I'm feeling truly creative again, wanting to sketch in public again and feeling eager to draw. You were one of the first artists to inspire me to sketch and create characters from the beauty of life... so thank you!!

Happy birthday! I think you were one of the first few artists I subscribed to on KZbin, and probably the last I’m still subscribed to from those years, because of the fond memories I have of your videos :)

I found this so helpful thank you. I've been stuck for months, questioning if I even want to paint anymore. Any enjoyment I get at the moment is if I draw. I guess I need to stick with that for now if that's what feels good.

All the relatable struggle on getting the right feedback makes me wonder how comes people can subconsciously tell what's good and bad with a work, yet more often than not fail (or perhaps unwilling) at explaining how they came up with these thoughts. If I were to intentionally commit an incorrect anatomy to a character that should look cute and endearing, no one will unsee it. In the era where high-speed Internet is a dime a dozen, people should be able to give good feedback with relative ease, right? Well, typically on social medias and art websites, that artwork would get much fewer views due to fewer likes and comments, but rarely (if ever) would they accurately point out what's wrong, let alone explain its impact and provide suggestions and ideas on how to remedy that. Most of the time, the few comments I'd get would be nothing but praises and criticisms that aren't constructive and memes. I'm not expecting an essay worth of my work's analysis, but oh boy do I get infuriated when it comes to receiving feedback (or lack thereof). Seriously, I don't understand human beings.

Perhaps If you think of it like climbing a mountain... When you look up at the mountain from the ground it looks daunting and confusing as to which way to go and how to make the climb. But as you begin to climb you can see where to put your hands and feet. You can see the steps before you, but not always what's still ahead. The people down below that haven't even begun to climb can see your progress but cannot possibly understand how to guide you or offer suggestions. Those above you have already made the path and can see where you are coming from and what obstacles and paths you may need to be aware of. When you get to the top, there is always another mountain to climb, but you realize that you are the only one that can know where you've been or what you've seen. Fewer and fewer people are willing to climb those heights and face their fears. It is only the privilege of those rare few that do. I hope that helps, my friend.

Aw man, dude I miss this content so much. I'm mad that KZbin made this so hard to find. Though maybe it's because they're trying to push newer content, which is fair... but still! Classic video! I still think about this, and it's been 9 years!

just posting this comment to say that this was the last video i saw of yours before losing track of your channel and i just wanna say how big of an influence and inspiration you've been! watching this channel is what encouraged me to take to drawing in my sketchbook regularly and your style was what i was going for when i was doodling at school. i now mostly do acrylic and watercolor but for the first couple years there it was just pen and markers. anywhoodle, i hope youre still doing good and thank you for being awesome!

Hey Will! I'm a really old fan here, I used to watch your people sketching videos all the time like 8 years ago or even before that and they really helped me get inspired as an illustrator. I used to also leave them in the background while I would draw, I think I watched all of them. I really hope you come back some day with those type of videos! I think that is where true happiness is, with the things that we are passionate about. You have an incredible talent and I hope it's not going to waste, hope you're still drawing! I got back into drawing and playing piano myself and it made me reconnect to my old past and it feels great. Best of luck on everything, man. 👍 PS: I can't help but notice that your voice has changed as well, I'm not sure why this is but just want to say that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the voice you had in your old people sketching videos with the laughs in between and everything, you really had a contagious positive energy in those videos that was really helpful to a lot of people, hope you know that. Thanks again for all the inspiration!

Its been harder to laugh these days. I've been on the verge of homelessness for almost a year and can barely afford food and gas let alone to sit and sketch people around town for fun like I once did. I still laugh. But to set up a video camera and sketch and laugh the way I used to... I have found very difficult since moving back to Texas. KZbin never paid very well and I stopped working in animation a couple years ago to try to develop another career path for myself. At the moment I am still hanging on. I appreciate your kind message and for sharing your thoughts. I pray for a return to joyful times.
