Bloodywood is known for incorporation traditional instruments, this song felt more electronic. I think they did that for this song as Babymetal also does have an element of that. Probablyt saw it as an opportunity to do this for this song.

🐘 / 🍑 ⚡ 💕 / ✊ 💪 Bloodywood has been using an elephant as one of their themes for a while. Some schools of Japanese Buddhism have Kangiten, who is equivalent to Ganesha, the Hindu elephant deity. Of course the Samurai elephant for the final battle was epic. That was Moa and Momoko singing the robotic voice part. And Su's last lines were in Hindi. The Bloodywood guys sent her a slowed down version so she could nail the pronunciation.

Welcome back, and Happy New Year. Great reaction. Bloodywood had already written this song with BABYMETAL in mind before Kobametal contacted them to suggest a collaboration. Karan Katyar from Bloodywood has posted a video explaining the songwriting and production processes for this song which is very interesting too.

By the way, I am not an alcoholic. 😉 In Japan, during the New Year's holidays, we Japanese drink (Sake) alcohol in the morning to celebrate the new year, but I can't drink like I did in my 30s anymore. I am now aware of that. 😆 Later today, I'm going to Matsumoto City to see the movie of hot topic among us, ‘Heavier Trip’. 😀

That short riff they threw in after 1st chorus into the beginning of 2nd verse of Protect You is Koto (Japanese traditional string instrument) sampled in the backing track, giving it a moment of tranquillity (like having a tea celemony in the middle of chaos). The Warning has more classic hard rock sound by default, with the limited time together I think they've done the best they could come up with together. The Warning's vocalists both have powerful, soulful voice, which added a lot of passion and energy to the song, and Saiki also didn't hold back. The song is empowering and has lots of attitudes from each member. Initially I thought it was rather bland but now I like it a lot .

The mv was an accumulation of footage from the world tour that they just did. September/October, 8 concerts 7 countries. It was a huge deal because day booked and sold out stadium/areanas worldwide for the first time. The song, in my opinion, feels like a love and / or thank you letter to all of their fans around the world. I got to see that song performed live at the Kia forum in LA on October 23rd. It was epic. All I can say is... Paul builds a mean guitar, for sure. 😀 Both _Band-Maid_ and _The Warning_ have felt some "resistance" from long term fans because they are exploring new ideas and directions. Personally, I always welcome that... but some people just want to hear the same thing over and over again. The standard joke is "We already have a band that does this. It's called AC/DC". Which, yes, is unfair... but it conveys the basic idea well.

Such collabs are great for introducing the fan bases to the other band. Go check some more of the band you do nor know we'll. And most of all, subscribe their channel. That's the minimum of we can do.
