Yeah I re-wired the plugs to the r8 style plug, before that I used an adapter harness. Nothing else you need to upgrade but it allows you to increase your spark plug gap

Nice build! What internals are you running? I'm fairly new to the Audi world, but recently acquired a 2002 1.8T A4 Avant for dirt cheap that needs an engine. Can you give me some advice on what's needed for a 300-350whp build? I have the 06A block and I'm considering stroking it to a 2.0 with the fsi crank. I'm familiar with Subarus and know what's needed for x amount of power, but a complete noob when it comes to Audi, lol. I know the rods are basically a must, but what about the stock pistons? Can I make 350whp with just rods and supporting mods, or do I need aftermarket pistons as well? I'm trying to do this for as cheap as possible, so the more S4/RS4/R8 parts I can use, the better. One last question, do you know which stock 1.8ts came with forged pistons? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I have ebay H beam rods and brand new stock AEB pistons, the AEB motors (97 and 98) came with forged pistons stock which are good up to 600hp or so. last weak link is the exhaust valves, upgrade to inconel and you are good to go. All you really need for 300-350whp is a gtx2867 size turbo, I would go with a g25-550 from pulsar you'll have very good spool with 20+psi around 3500rpm. So source a turbo manifold, turbo, intercooler, Rods/piston,fueling upgrades, and exhaust upgrades (mainly downpipe) and you'll be at a happy 350whp

Yes the oil and water lines had to be custom made, the turbos oil return line is custom welded solid steel down past the exhaust manifold

Yo I love your build, nice Looking, want mine like that with those Maxton Lips/Diffusor And brutal engine (dont like the 1.8t that much, but damn, yours is sexey ) It seems to be FWD Try to make your front dampers and springrate quite a bit softer, and your back a bit stiffer.. Opposite with the sway bars.. a bit harder in Front, and softer in the Back Raise the front half an inch or like 1 centimeter And try to get the camber in the front to like -0.5 to -0.7 degree, to use all the rubber u got.. Maybe a little bit less tyrepressure in front tyres.. this can help a bit I mean if your Suspension let you do this Audi (B5's) engines are all in front of the front suspension.. thats making them less grippier in front, especially while cornering.. Dont except miracles, ur driving like 450hp, and like what 550, 600nm tourqe? Thats quite a lot for FWD but if i could i would do it too 😂 Greetings from Germany

Thanks man! The car is Quattro not fwd, I plan to adjust the suspension and upgrade sway bar so the handling is even better. Current suspension upgrades are vogtland coilover shocks with 16k swift spring in front and 14k in the rear, 034 motorsport adjustable rear upper control arms. Next step is polyurethane bushings and upgraded sway bar and a track alignment, right now it is just stock alignment

Ooooh.. That wheelspin on quattro I Drive a pretty Stock a4 b5 Quattro with the 2.6 V6 NA engine.. got 150ish HP Then i think the Problem is your middle differential If you get wheelspin in the back, the Power goes to the Front.. it is Like 1/4 to 3/4 Ratio Forget what i said and try to soften the rear a bit more

@@samdzus2427 BOV spring is 9lb since my car idles at -17in vacuum, 10lb would work too. WG spring I don't think I changed from the 12lb spring that came with it

Nothing is stock really, front BBK by ap racing with 330mm rotors, vogtland shocks w/ swift springs, adjustable upper control arms front and rear, poly bushings everywhere. Last thing I need is a rear sway bar and a track alignment to really dial it in. Tires are federal rs-rr 265/35/18 and its still working for traction with all that rubber

The audi tt quattro is horizontal, awd doesnt always mean it has to be longitudinal, there are many awd jdms that also have the engine horizontally, in particular evos.

I’m also having that issue, except I swapped an AWP motor in and I cannot get it to run for long at all thing runs awesome for a about 30 seconds to a minute and then starts bogging down and stalls.

For my WG top port open, side ports capped except 1 that goes to the boost controller and out of the boost controller into the boost pipe outlet of the turbo for vacuum/boost reference. Diverter valve reference comes from the intake manifold. Evap is blocked off and PCV goes to a vented oil catch can. Thats it

Nice build! If I were u I would continue to add more weight saving mods in the front of the car. Capitalize on that and you'll have a nimble handling quattro machine.
