@@FREERIDE-MTB Sorry to hear that. If it's possible, try and make your way out to one of them. They are so fun. I travel 1200km every spring to attend the Squamish Enduro. It's a blast. Actually, do a lot of travelling in the summer to events to meet new people and experiences new places to ride. I hear XC races are fun too, you will just not catch me doing one. Good video. Being from ON and hoping at some point to ride Squamish, are these 3 trails your favourites, or is there sort of a general consensus in the local MTB community that these are the top 3 blue flow someome should ride if in the area?
@rustyrotors50Ай бұрын
Hey man, these are not my favorite trails her, just on this day I wanted to do this loop of flow trails. They are amazing trails, and maybe other people think so to, but there are so many trails in Squamish, many riding zones too, its be way to hard to say there is a consensus best trails. I ride black tech trails mostly.

This is SICK! Do you guys ever encounter issues with building unsanctioned trails so close to Loops or Heffley? The local unsanctioned back in Canmore has been on the docket by the Town. It's a matter of time now >.>.
@rustyrotors503 ай бұрын
Nothing yet, but this trail is pretty unknown at this time. There could be some chatter in the future but we are hoping it's all good. It's further out of town compared to a trail like Rio. I have heard that the unsanctioned trail in Canmore has talk surrounding it.
@will-flint3 ай бұрын
@@rustyrotors50 Hey man! we should link up and ride sometime. I'd be super keen if you're ever in my neck of the woods, and vice versa. I'm usually at Peaks in the summer. That's RAD that you guys haven't encountered any issues so far. I think half the battle is building the trail far enough from where the municipality or conservation authority can nose around. Yeah, I've rode a few off of Paul Lake Road and Lolo. There's some INCREDIBLE trails aquaintences have built and upkept over the years. In Canmore, we have stuff, but shit we need to work for it. You have your well-known pirate's like the plank and cutblock, then the rest off the various trails. Some are more accessible than others, and some are just outright disgusting to reach and ride. I've rode some closer to my place, but I'm hesitant to drop in to any of the BIG Freeride and DH lines without a tow. XD Yeah, it's sad, Canmore, CAMBA and Parks Canada know about most pirate trails. We had a few shut down this past season. From what I heard , the above are working toward alternatives. They expect more consistent unsanctioned closures moving forward. I was told by the CAMBA director that they want to use CNC as the MAIN hub for all bike specific trails. It's depressing. This notion does not give me hope for the future of Freeride and DH in the Bow. It's so political and financially driven in Berta. Unless you're big corpo resource extraction, gl getting the approval and funds to build within sensitive or non-senstive wildlife corridors.
