I don’t drum but want realistic results building drum parts as assembled sub-tracks. Sensitivity is most important. 64 pads does provide input for each situation on a standard kit. So how dynamically sensitive are the pads.

The pads are very sensitive. Play around with the velocity curve to find the best setting for you and it’s very responsive. ✌️✌️

You’ve been unconsciously building up to the disco addiction, would have sounded better from a Solina though 😉. It’s got a beautiful multi-stage Bucket Brigade chorus and a Small Stone phaser built in that can be used with external audio. So you get lush string synth, and two effects pedals built in, at this point I’m not sure if I’m trying to convince you or me 😂.

@@JamieMallender no what is a powered hub?
@JamieMallender21 күн бұрын
@@sethseth9359you know when you have a usb port and you buy an adapter that turns it into more ports. That’s a hub. A powered hub is a hub that you can plug into the mains meaning it has its own power. This is the perfect way to connect controllers and interfaces to an iOS device so that you are not trying to power anything with the iPads battery. I use a hub made by hydrive that also charges the iPad.

In Cubasis Halion Sonic Selection some drumkits only sound as long as you press down a key, e.g. the cymbal sound will stop when you release the corresponding key on the keyboard. How can I switch these to a different setting, so that they play in full, when you hit a key. For example, all the acoustic drum kits on my Yamaha MODX are configured that way as factory preset, so that you hear the full drum sound sample including the decay, when you hit a key shortly. Would appreciate an answer very much.
@JamieMallenderАй бұрын
You can’t change that. It works as midi did in the early days. In the piano roll you make the notes last for as long as you want to sustain the sound
@followyourpassion8378Ай бұрын
@@JamieMallender Thank you very much for the explanation! I am used to synth workstations (like Motif) and some arrangers, so this duration thing is pretty annoying for me. The Cubasis miniSampler also plays the full drum sample when triggered.
@followyourpassion8378Ай бұрын
I have Cubasis 3 and have been wondering about AUM. Why would I need AUM in between the sound app (e.g. Sampletank, Pianoteq, Korg Module,...) and Cubasis. I could connect these directly in the Cubasis track routing.... Theoretically, with MIDI clock out from Cubasis, I should be able to set the tempo for all other apps. I would really appreciate some input on the need for/ the advantage of AUM with Cubasis.
@JamieMallenderАй бұрын
You don’t need AUM to enhance Cubasis 3. A lot of iOS musicians use AUM and so end up with projects that then need moving to a DAW to continue working. AUM is great for creativity but not so much for finishing projects off.
@followyourpassion8378Ай бұрын
@@JamieMallender Thank you so much for clearing that up for me!!
@followyourpassion8378Ай бұрын
@@JamieMallenderJust a thought: does AUM allow to circumvent the "one instance only" restrictiin of IAA? E.g. in Cubasis, I can only use one directly linked track with Sampletank.

Cubasis panio roll is not touch friendly
@JamieMallenderАй бұрын
I feel that way about GarageBand and Logic on iOS and I find Cubasis 3 to be fine. I think it’s down to what you’re used to and therefore what you use a lot. I use Cubasis 3 more than anything else so I’m very familiar with how it works and I don’t have any problems with it. I must say though, the best piano roll on iOS is Nanostudio 2

Thank you! Yes, it’s nothing more than luck really. When I got it, it made no sound at all and I thought I’d bought a project that needed fixing up so I was just thinking time and money you know… but it turned out that all the samples had their individual volume set to zero. I turned them all up one at a time and then everything worked. I wonder if this was a mistake made by the previous owner somehow - so maybe they thought it didn’t work and so let it go so cheaply. I’m just so happy to have something that I always wanted and here it is, and it hasn’t disappointed me at all. ✌️✌️

I believe the audioshare folder only shows up on the left column of the Files app if you buy the Audioshare app. In fact it’s the main reason to buy the app. Frankly I think it’s lame that you need to spend money on that. AUM should be rewritten to support the Files app. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
