Hi, I built the device and let me tell you that it works wonderfully well, I put a 20db amplifier with a bandwidth of 50hz-4ghz and it has a range of between 50m with obstacles and without obstacles the range is crazy. Thanks for sharing the video

The WiFi Pineapple has three 2.4GHz radios (MT7701U & MT7610U) and another dual band radio with the add-on module (MT7612U). That's a lot more radios scanning channels simultaneously than this router, as only one radio goes into monitor mode during recon, leaving the rest to channel hop.Seems a little disingenuous to make a direct comparison and not mention this, especially since you are *selling* them.

I've been curious about where these might be used in public in and around my city. A few years back I lived in an area where, every time I walked past a specific section of the road past a certain set of houses on my way to pick up some groceries, my bluetooth would cut out. I first thought it was a coincidence but it happened every time I went past that particular spot, so I believe it was either one of the houses, or one of the small businesses nearby. I even changed my route a bit to avoid it because not only did the bluetooth drop, but I had to disconnect the ear buds and reboot the phone to get it working again; really stringe. I've noticed it happens in a few other public areas on my travels, in particular spots, and I've always wondered if somebody is using a jammer in that spot. Anyway, pretty interesting project.

Can you make a video wiring it to the board

Have you tried GL.iNet GUI then go to System > Advanced Settings, then click on the LuCI link, login to the OpenWRT GUI, then under System > Backup/Flash Firmware scroll to bottom option and load in the openwrt .bin file, and wait for it to complete. Then repeat the OpenWRT GUI process but load in the pineapple .bin, again waiting for it to complete? Your process is detailed but there is an easier way :)

How reliable are these routers compared to the smaller ones from GL. I have a travel router from GL and it’s been great but isn’t compatible for this. I’ve heard the smaller ones don’t last long for this and tend to get warm. What are your thoughts?
