That Rudy Gobert trade really is a roller coaster. Went from one of the worst trades in NBA history, to a very good trade, to a very bad overpay. Sorry ant, KG made it to an WCF too, I'm not sure you can go any further.

For those of you that don't know Karl-Anthony Towns was just traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the New York Knicks for Donte Divencenzo, Julius Randle, and a protected first. Yeah thats some crazy clippers hate. Kawhi is still a top 10 player and Harden might not be the same Harden as 3 years ago, but he's still a very good player who's capable of winning a few games himself. He was the best player on the clippers in their 6 game series against the Mavs, who then went to the finals. Paul George is nowhere near good enough to warrant that much of a drop off from the year before.
@tkuno5-o4wАй бұрын
Did you just happen to forget the last few seasons where Kawhi has been mostly injured and useless?? Yeah maybe he plays less games so that he is healthy in the playoffs but then will the clippers even make the playoffs? As an okc fan, thank you for being terrible!!
@tkuno5-o4wАй бұрын
Hope you guys give us a top 10 pick lmao
@Rpgd49990Ай бұрын
@@tkuno5-o4w Kawhi played 68 games last year, and 50+ games every other year with the clippers (including the shortened seasons in 2020 and 2021, and obv excluding the ACL injury year). Having a top 10 player for 80% of the games, as well as a very good player and great floor raiser in James Harden, and a great supporting cast and coach, is enough to be in the play in at least. Certainly enough to be in a tier above the Jazz, and not 3 tiers below the Lakers - a team with a 40 year old superstar, an injury prone 2nd star, a very rough supporting cast, and a podcaster turned first time head coach. I don’t think they have any chance at making the finals (I think OKC has that locked up, so good for you as a fan), but to act like they’re the 3rd worst team in the West when they just went to 6 games with the team that made the finals is crazy. And yes, they lost Paul George, the guy who averaged less than 20 a game in the playoffs this year with not much to show on defense, and whose last playoff series before that was 2021, but I really don’t see that making that steep of a difference at all. He’s a fringe all star who can’t accept any role other than being the star player, and his fit on the clippers was redundant at best. Losing him and gaining some good role players isn’t turning the clippers from a solid competing playoff team to a bottom 3 team. I don’t think you’re keeping up to date with the clippers at all, which is fine, you don’t have to by any means. Just don’t talk with so much confidence about them.

Interesting vid. Idk how the nuggets are on the same tier as the suns lol. We saw how the suns go in the playoffs last year, ik they grabbed tyus jones but still. Also grizzlies maybe underrated?
@thesweatshop69Ай бұрын
We saw how the Suns were last year yes but I think the Suns got marginally better and the loss of KCP makes the Nuggets substantially worse. With KCP gone the Nuggets have to have two of their prospects make a significant jump this year because as of now, they only got 6 players I trust in a playoff game (I love Russ but he's on his last legs). And I can see the Grizzlies being a top 4 seed they just have a lot of varianc.

Im glad im not the only one that sees the formula, I swear people last year were killing me with this "dont pick for fit" convo before the draft. Brandon Miller is and always has been THE archetype for a franchise player, Lamelo is a perfect number 2 or 1B for that franchise player, and Mark is the cherry on top to compliment both players. The rest of the roster still has to prove it to me though as I dont know how they look when the key 3 are together and healthy.
