Couldn't make out the EcoFlow model. How many KWH does it have available for the furnace? Is your plan to be able to ride out an outage of a few hours or some number of days?
@cookingwithcuyandotherfuns62382 күн бұрын
Sorry I just saw your question. This is the eco-flow 1800 Watt unit. 1260 watt- hours. As it turns out it can run the furnace for about 8 hours with it cycling on and off during a winter night. Then we use our Honda generator to recharge the Eco flow Delta and start all over again. Actually we have two Eco flows so we can be charging one while using the other.

You can search the Walmart web site for your year, make, and model and see if they carry a hardware kit or not for your car.

Living in the north west, these things tend to get ice and snow trapped in them and cause noises and a great warm place for varmints to nest. I chose to take it off and have noticed that the engine runs cooler with it removed, make sense the fabric cover traps all the heat from engine and exhaust. I'll be leaving mine off. Cooler running engine seems like a better choice.

Where is your storage for luggage/ clothes, grilling or cooking stuff etc?
@cookingwithcuyandotherfuns62384 ай бұрын
The stow-n-go seats would come out (if this wasn't a rental,) leaving big under floor storage. We'll also get a rooftop cargo carrier. This was just a rough look-see at how the beds fit in a minivan.

We never thought about this option and we were also using the pods for a long time. We just make sure that our rinse liquid is always topped off. Seems to work just as good as the pods!

I'm building one too, and was wondering what your empty weight is with the C-85? I was thinking about an O-200, but was wondering if you think there is any advantage to a few more horsepower? Also, are your brakes actuated with your toes?
@cookingwithcuyandotherfuns62387 ай бұрын
I really like the A-65 with no electric. Our empty weight is 632 lbs. I would love to have an 0-200 but the A-65 does well if you watch the weight of a passenger on a hot day. Some have added 1-2 feet to each wing which really helps with lift. My brakes are heel actuated like a Cub or Champ. Best wishes!

Good question. We use a neutral grounding plug on our Honda generator which bonds the open ground and permits the power/surge protector to operate. No need for metal staking the generator to ground this way.

Am I seeing correctly that besides the idle mixture knob, you don’t have mixture control? If so, why is that?
@cookingwithcuyandotherfuns62389 ай бұрын
Hello David! Good catch. The A-65 engines typically have the mixture control arm wired full-rich all the time. The reason for that is that the engine runs just fine there all the time since most of these engines power Cubs, Champs, etc. and don't climb high enough to have to lean the mixture. Also many of these Stromberg carbs have the mixture control capped off---there isn't even an adjustment arm. Just full rich all the time. Some do have mixture control cables but only in high/mountainous areas usually.
