What a great cover of sweet home Chicago by a guy who actually knew Robert Johnson. He was with Robert when he was getting ready to make his recordings, documented in Houston Stackhouse’s interview in Living Blues magazine with Jim O’Neil

The absolute best version of the traditional tune, better than any other I’ve heard. Miss seeing them in Downtown Farmington.

Johnny’s Voice is very very different than the baritone we hear on his gorgeous ballads. Both are great. Hey Big Mama!!!!

I used to jam out to this in my car, one of the few places where I could crank up the volume. Every player on this is a virtuoso

I honestly never heard of Lyle Lovett until he married Julia Roberts. His music is so lovely and sensitive. He doesn't have a huge vocal range but his presence and musical depth are very moving.

I found this song on the search for a few others...the Celtibillies released a song called "Four Polkas" and I know for certain the first two are Dennis Murphy and John Ryan. Still looking for the other two, but I'm stopping here to listen to this one for now.

Years before he passed, my Dad told me that his mother had sung a song called "Babes In The Woods" to him, and he got all choked up at the memory. Now that I've heard this, I feel pretty sure that she sang it to me, too. Ms. Riddle even sounds like my Grandma. Thank you for posting this.
