that's what i'm saying. just cuz she has a lot of awards doesn't mean she shouldn't win more. this is not kindergarten, if you put out a great album you win awards for it no matter how famous or infamous you are and no matter how many awards you received before🤷‍♀

@@Red_s1989tay yes!!! And now every fandom is only going against her and saying as long as TTPD doesn’t win I’m happy. It’s like it was the biggest album of the year and I know numbers shouldn’t be the only factor but she has more than just the numbers to prove how she was able to once again put out a 10/10 album. I’m not saying she has to win or that she deserves it over everyone else bc I think they were all nominated for a reason but the way she’s being treated is so sad when all she does is support other artists!!!!

I disagree- I'm a big swiftie, and I'm not rooting for TTPD mainly because I don't actually think it was the best in a lot of categories it was nominated in. For example, Fortnight is 100% not the best song on the album and shouldn't have been nominated for SOTY. I also agree with them in the fact that it's not a very replayable album unless you are a big swiftie or fan and will no matter what allow songs to grow on you/dissect the meaning behind the songs. Do I think ttpd is magnificent, yes, but do I think it absolutely stands out as the winner of pop this year? no. So I really don't think it's bc she's too famous- it's that this year is very competitive and her fandom is split as well (as in many of her fans are also sabrina fans, also chappel fans, also ariana fans, etc.)!

@ see and I understand that but I but I could say that about more than half of these albums. I don’t listen to hmhas or brat. As a matter of fact I’ve never heard brat but her fans claim she was responsible for a cultural reset. At the end of the day all of this is just opinions, in your opinion TTPD is not an album that is replayable but there are ppl who haven’t stopped listening to TTPD. Idk at the end of the day the Grammys don’t take fans into consideration so we will see what the record academy votes on. I have a feeling this will be a year where the albums that aren’t known win. It happens every few years and I think it’s for them to name it known that just bc a certain album is being replayed all year on the radio doesn’t mean it’ll win.

Look for me i also think taylor wouldn’t win pop album or single BUT as an album of the year TTPD has a very poetic vibe and words that makes it a good album sure for pop i’d also think sabrina deserves it but TTPD is a great album in general (i don’t know if i explained it well but yeah)

She’s too “new” to win. She’s competing against much larger artists that have made and produced better albums because of their experience. That’s not hate, a nomination is incredibly important and should encourage her to stay in pop and keep making music, but she doesn’t “deserve” to win. They all do. That’s why they have the nomination

@@charlooiiitt saying someone is too new to win something is weird ngl. So because the others are seniors they automatically deserve to win even though she undoubtedly has the best album there? I’m talking lyrically, vocally, production, versatility. She’s new and she was able to accomplish that when the people that are suppose to be more established has some of the weakest albums in their discography being nominated. @@charlooiiittI dont see how being “new” automatically makes you have a lesser chance to win, and saying that a nomination is at best the farthest thing she will ever get cus of it. That’s a weird take, imo. Have you even listened to it? I was shocked and surprised to how good it is, and it was the first time I have listened to an album without or barely any skip in the loooongest time. It’s so different among all these other albums nominated tbh, and the fact that it’s just her first studio debut album SPEAKS alot for her
