No tar paper or tyvek on the sheathing so that wood is going to rot as siding is not waterproof.

I ordered that Guppyhill patch kit. Prepped the siding, it didn't stick. I hate vinyl siding.

I greatly dislike vinyl siding. It just looks and is cheap and can warp in really hot weather.

Why are you going in from the outside rather than out from the inside?
@thedailydiy7 күн бұрын
it depends on the situation. At my home, I go from outside - in because my dryer vent is easy to get to. This video was filmed at a friend of mine's house and her dryer vent on the inside wasn't easy for me to reach, so I had to do it from the outside - in. I've actually had more comments on the video I did where I go inside - out telling me I should be doing it outside - in, so I think either way is fine.

Anyone can learn how to do this properly. I think she was lazy and rushed this video for content. She showed mostly the right order of operations but failed to execute them properly and left her unit only half serviced. It's better than it was. It'd been better if she acknowledged she did a half ass job. That's what i think people should push instead of saying just spend the few hundred and have professional do it, say if your going to do it yourself be patient, meticulous, and careful.

Run! No seriously, if you've got some wash spray you can spray it in between the spaces where you see their nest. Spray it in the evening when they are most active so you can get them all quickly.
