How To Clean Kitchen Exhaust Filter

Here is my step-by-step process on how to clean the range hood filters and underneath the range hood to get all of the cooking grease and splatters off. Check out this easy range hood cleaning hacks for easy kitchen exhaust filter cleaning. Do this once per season to keep your exhaust running properly. Having dirty filters causes your exhaust to have to work harder than it needs to, this causes strain on the motor and can lead to it wearing out quicker.

plastic dish pan, Cascade automatic dish cleaning detergent (or other popular store brand), and boiling water. mix it together by stirring briefly (a minute or two). immerse the filter and let soak a short while (because it won't take very long). the filter should be clean within minutes and ready to rinse & dry on on towel. use discretion on time and amounts.

No need to be afraid of some oil going down the drain I have been putting left over cooking oil down my sink for 40 years never an issue I just make sure I I have hot water running with dawn while doing so never a clog or pipe issue.
