he's not very bright as it isn't an efficient use of energy as he's burning more calories than he's consuming. At least the Goshawk was brighter and realised it wasn't worth the battle.

You've got to love the Pine Marten. It's a fearless creature. In Ireland, they were nearly wiped out. Thankfully they are now protected and making a comeback, which is bad news for the invasive American grey squirrel.

@@jeremyj5932bear and small mustelid anatomies are extremelly different. You don't know what you're talking about. Also an average wolf weights less than a spotted hyena, so no, it's not likely that a lion would avoid it.

I swear a comment like this is on every small mustelid video I've watched. Saying "if small mustelids were large" is the same as talking about mythical creatures like griffins. The anatomy and prowess of a weasel can't exist on a large scale.

You can see the second hare in the back-ground that cause the depredated hare to run unguarded through the forest and into the lynx's mouth. Probably two males fighting over females or a male chasing a female. It looks like a female hare was caught by the lynx but its hard to sex from the images.

when i was a kid we had matins and wesels and they would kill every chicken in the hen house if they got in grand pop said it was because they were crazy for the blood and the thrill of killing some thing they would attack any thing god bless
@ups77392 жыл бұрын
Weasels are adapted for hunting rodents, especially those that live in burrows, and they have an insanely high metabolism, so they need to eat a lot. They developed the instinct to kill any and all prey in a confined space so they can save it for later. Unfortunately that instinct doesn't translate well to chicken coops because they usually can't bring the bodies back to their den to eat later. They don't do it for the thrill - that's something only humans do - they do it because they have an instinct that doesn't work well in an unnatural human environment.
