Gmo is a bad idea! Thankfully they at least must be labeled by law so we can know what is gmo now. Love science but gmo is never ok. Cant be contained or reversed after introduced. similar scenario to stopping a nuclear reaction. "more research" findings will have no effect after its escaped into natural nature and cannot be removed. consumers be aware of the marketing claims of health benefits from unnatural synthetic laboratory foods. Trying to make gmo foods sound healthy is far fetched, predatory marketing. Just eat some normal berries if you want more antioxidants. This tomato could never exist naturally or even from conventional plant breeding techniques and therefore is unnatural to consume. Gmo sugar, soy and corn have been suspected of causing cancer for years, no wonder they have a convenient gmo cancer solution up their sleeves. Educated people will not buy. remember the flavr savr.

Thanks Penny, nice and very informative presentation. Just to add a note, earlier this summer the UK Regulatory Horizons Council published an update to its report on future regulation of genetic technologies (assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1089198/regulatory_horizons_council_report_on_genetic_technologies_july_2022.pdf) and an accompanying policy brief (assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1087567/regulatory_horizons_council_policy_brief_on_genetic_technologies.pdf). These look forward to a future where all products of genetic technologies are regulated on the basis of their risks and benefits rather than the method used to produce them.

This presenter’s (Professor Joe Kane, forgive if incorrect spelling) very first point is completely false. Which is a bit rich coming from one who purports to represent truth and integrity. He (the Professor) gives the impression that the state law made it illegal for Scopes to teach evolution in class, but there was no law against teaching evolution in class, quite the contrary. The law covered only that it was illegal to teach that *man* evolved from a lower animal form. The other 99.9999 percent of Darwin’s theory was perfectly legal. All the teacher had to do was teach the evolution of the rest of the animal kingdom and he was absolutely within the law. This presenter is at best sloppy and careless with his facts or a deliberate deceiver to his viewers. A poor show for a Professor. I shudder to think what other mistruths to follow.
@theTavis01
@theTavis01 2 жыл бұрын
um....this video had the actual law itself on screen for several minutes. I "shudder to think" what anti-evolution mistruths YOU are clinging to that would make you so defensive....
@josephciolino5493
@josephciolino5493 9 ай бұрын
It is YOU who appears to be quite “defensive” While offering no evidence or argument to support your defensiveness. The fact is that the video is not clear and seems to be tiptoeing around the fans quite a bit. The fact is it was not illegal to teach Darwin. So the title of the video why there’s so many people in Darwin is really almost kind of absurd. Many people reject Darwin While at the same time that Myron his accomplishments. But he is one massive man fading far into the distance of acceptability.
