I prefer the Ruger trigger to the S&W AFTER polishing and changing out springs. But out of the box, S&W is usually much better.

3:19 This is a huge, often overlooked advantage revolvers have! It helps strike a balance between keeping your defensive guns loaded, while also being able to transition into dry practice mode, and back, without damaging the ammunition. Great video!

Revolvers are much less power sensitive that semiautos. the physical functioning of the gun relies on manual force. Where semiautos function on the gas pressure from the previous round. This gives you a wider choice of power levels to choose from when firing a revolver. Case in point, consider the 357 magnum revolver. you can shoot 357, 38 special, 38 long colt. And with some revolvers 9mm. And if you handload your cartridges you can down-load 357mags to the level of a mouse cartridge or up-load it the be a hand cannon. A 9mm semiauto can't have that level of versatility because the action requires a set minimum gas pressure in order to make the gun function. And you don't want to over pressure a semiauto either. I think a lot of people know what Glock-Go-Boom means.

I’ve been carrying Glocks for over a decade but like you, a dad with young kids, I find that tooling around the house and playing with kids is just easier with a J frame. If I’m going out and about with the family I’ll carry a Glock 19/17 because if trouble arises I can’t quickly evade the situation with so many little ones. In such cases I feel more rounds is better. However after following your channel awhile and looking into revolvers I think they definitely have a role. Picked up an M&P 340 this week to start my wheel gun journey.

@@bubbafudd the calibers commonly used in revolvers have a greater selection from target to medium/large game. revolvers are better looking, in my opinion. Also Im biased to 357. Keep up the work.

Revolvers can have 6 or 8 different projectiles and weights and charges loaded for different uses or purposes. (Dust shot, snake shot, bird shot, light bullets, heavy bullets, solid copper, frangible, hard cast lead, hollow points) which would cause semi automatic handguns to malfunction and not cycle.

Revolvers retain the casings within the cylinder so that they are not lost on the ground. (Casings can be reloaded later)

Agree 100%. I carry a j frame almost exclusively and while I know a semi-auto is more capable, I’m fine with my choice. It’s really not the tool, it’s the person and their patterns of life. I live a pretty mundane life by most accounts and consider where/when/why I’m going places. Snubbie is the minimum but I will scale up based on time/location/activity. Bubba, great video. Thinking about carrying my 66-8 this winter. Would love to hear your thoughts on spur vs bobbed hammer for CCW. I’m on the fence about installing the Apex Evolution IV.

I pocket carry a snubbie most of the time because my lifestyle doesn't require me to have 13+ rounds with a spare 13 round magazine on me everyday since I work from home and I am at home or around my neighborhood the majority of the week. I'll carry a semi auto when I go out to stores, restaurants, church etc., but for the most part I have no problem carrying a revolver for my edc. Like you said, I am not running towards trouble, I'm not a cop, but if God forbid I ever need it for self defense it would more than likely be up close and personal and a 6-shot snubbie with 38 special +P will get the job done in that situation.

Have a pt92 from Taurus. I enjoy it. However I am trading it for a Glock due to the size difference and weight reduction for my EDC carry. This video definitely helped my decision so thank you getting a Sig 220 da/sa in a couple months to replace the Taurus so I don't think I'll miss the Beretta.

Most of us living in other countries ideally would stock an APCC as a residential defense or AR-15 as WROL/ last ditch weapon...most owners in my country however use them for competition and range recreation though....most of them slapping very cheap no-name brand parts with questionable reputation and quality.

I had this happen back in 2016. Gun was deemed unserviceable as my bushing fully fell out. They offer to send me a brand new LCR, which I accepted. Now, on my LCR that I got from them as the replacement, the aluminum frame is now cracked, and will likely also be unserviceable. Not sure why these revolvers keep having issues, but I’ve given up on the .38 special version at least, given both of mine have critically failed.

I bought the Shield 9 2.0 in 2017. It is still my EDC. I prefer the stock magazine options 8/7 round. It is light and conceals well. I do not enjoy the recoil when using defense ammo. My accuracy is poor over 7 yards. The trigger bites

As soon as I touched it, I was amazed. This one was in the used case and fairly big price but a beautiful Firearm. I may take a second look but it may go fast , not sure. My problem is I want them all when I see them 🤣 Be well

My shield 2.0 is still in my rotation. I try to take it out the rotation since I have a few micro 9's. but it is still in the rotation. it's a great gun. I upped the capacity with the magguts spring kit, apex trigger, custom barrel, nights sights.. And I'm totally confident with it.. It's strange this video popped up in my feed because I have been carrying the shield 2.0 for the last two weeks.
