This is absolutely my next shotgun purchase! I own a old Stevens Riot gun made for JC Penney before they went “woke” back in the late 60’s. I love wood stock self defense shotguns. Retro is the best bro! 🤠👊🏻

Bought one yesterday. I ordered the 590 but after 2 months my local shop didn’t have a time frame. So I opted for the 500. Ordered a heat shield for it from Mossberg and I will have it parkerized in the Spring.

I picked up my 590A1 Retro last year at a killer deal - my very first shotgun. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Your 500 is simply stunning, especially with the slick blued finish. Have you considered getting a heat shield for it?

@@Shot_Gunner I haven't checked recently. A real Trench could run you thousands. If you can find a 590 in a gun shop, they'll run you cheaper than in bidding sites.

Great review man. One piece of advice - with buckshot the 0 is pronouned as ought. So 00 is called "double ought".
