Hi, i am rebuilding a 1983 kz440 and i have a problem with my clutch…i replaced all the plates with new ones, but not the springs, i’ll use the old ones that are in good condition…my dubt is when i re-mount the clutch carter the external clutch lever does not seem to work properly, i mean, the springs seems that they don’t work (obv i’ve locked the clutch pusher in the carter)

so basically all your work was for nothing if the cable was not connected and the flap was open by the spring?

In 2020 after returning the Quad Lock Fork Stem Mount because it didn't work with my Panigale, I gave up trying to find the perfect mount for my phone, until last week when I wanted to check for any possible updates and I found this adaptor shown in Quad Lock's page. I got it along with the QL Stem Mount again and installed them yesterday, it is PERFECT. This is genius !!! Thank you and good luck @reddoggarage !

I bought a used unit. Are the wires simply going to a negative and positive wire in the truck. If so I could quickly check the actuator for the lock before installing.

just curious it seems you haven't run into any engine codes after installing the servo buddy. just did mine and i got code P1009. was wondering if you may have run into that later and found a way to solve that!

Bro what a cool project and I love the the products you picked to get the job down and just over all lay out. I might make 1 change and put a remote mount oil filter instead on the inline one you have for an easier change. But otherwise love it!

So i fitted 2 map sensors after getting the engine red fault on screen and poor sub 4k running and stalling when setting off. I bought 2 cheap ones off amazon. After taking fairing of i decided that it wasnt worth the effort to just change 1. Also after taking the fiddley bolts out i fastened them back in place with a cable tie. They don't warrent a bolt with nylock nut. I also stuck the penny washer in place with some gaffer tape and poked a hole through for the screw. This screw which is in the top corner below the headlight on the inside of the fairing screws into a rubber wellnut that expands. Like the type used on fairing windscreens. Note. For the map sensor at front of bike i used a hex bit and 1/4 " spanner to get in, or you could cut down a allenkey. Anyways, one i changed the map sensors my bike was free from the red engine warning banner displayed on screen, and ran perfectly again below 4k.

You say in the video that this is permanent. Seems like you could punch it out if you had to, but is there any downside to this being permanently placed? Tube or bearing corrosion, service interference, etc.? Don't know enough about this steering tube to know if this should be a concern ...

A quick warning if your planing to take your bike to a shop DO NOT DO THIS TEST because when you pull the map sensor plugs the ecu is going to send a map sensor failure code and than the shop is going to charge you for both map sensors

One thing for anyone doing this now or in the future is that the adapter fits perfect and works amazingly with the quad lock. However, unless you don’t mind struggling a little as it’s a tight fit you may want to upgrade from the string to a threaded rod. Just add a washer and hex nut to the end and pull up that way. It’s super easy and avoids any struggle or snapping of the string like me.

a good mod, the oem ones are shite, much smoother, bit of a faff to get all air bubbles out, left it overnight with clutch lever taped to bar

Be carful do not do it while the bike is hot will not fit , it will go in but will always get stuck mid way and no matter how hard you pull or push it won’t go anywhere . Let the bike cool down first 🫠

Are you sure the torque spec is 190 Nm on the nut which holds the Clutch basket? Isn´t it 120 Nm ?? If I get the manual right, then th 190 Nm is for the Primary Gear Drive.

Lmfaooooo you made it look waaayyyy too easy. I just did this install. That cable should be air craft quality. Very snug fit. Ended up using 3/8 socket extensions to push it up through the bottom. This video should be in cartoon lol

I have a 2003 Ducati 749. The clutch was also really hard to pull. I use to keep a guitar finger strength training grip in my office to use during the day to try and increase my grip strength because it was so hard to pull my clutch lever in. Eventually I figured out to go to an aftermarket slave. Awesome.

I just got my 2018 959 today and ordered a quad lock a cycle gear we Here the guy told me that the one he put on order for me fits perfect no issues. If that’s not the case and I need this piece you’ve made is there anyway we can exchange info and maybe I can buy one from you.

That's a rough install, not to be copied. Use a seal condom and loosen fork cap in bike and not using grips!

I'm interesting in buying the stem mount adapter for a Panigale V4. A couple of questions, can you still use a headlift front stand if the stem mount adapter is installed? Also is the supplied string strong enough to pull the stem mount adapter up to the top of the fork stem without the issue of breaking/snapping the string?

Still that brutal "kink" of the ltd seat frame. That's the toughest fix on that model. If it doesn't get straightened out it looks like you're riding in a seat crack!

Also tell us if you can use gas with the flux core even though it is not required

Next video please show the machine changes you performed when switching from flux core to gas and show us you changing the wires
