If you equip the gem the boosts damage from canceling, it doesn’t affect A.I. party members. So you should only use it on the character you’re playing as.

I can relate, ive been a fan of animal crossing all of my life so i pre ordered it when it first came out however, literally the week it came out my college told me that we will stop for the year. So playing the game made me super emotional listening to the music late at night just decorating and fishing. Everything during 2020 was hectic, i just lost a boyfriend of a long time, lost college and even the jobs i worked at actually closed due to money and covid. So playing this game and relaxing was the most amazing thing ever

Compared to the previous ones it's not that good even terrible (because it's a downgrade from new leaf), but it's still a nice game on its own

I don't know anything about this game, but your tips all seem geared towards efficient use of your time - is the full game really this critical of time wasted, or is this purely to get as much done in the demo as possible in the 15 day limit, maybe with the goal of hitting the end of Chapter 2?

Tip4.5. When the game show you the routte light. Never turn off. Enjoy.

One thing not mentioned here is that you can press the + button to automatically open the big map without having to go through the menu. Also, how did you get the characters in the menu to face forward? Mine only face sideways.

I discoveres the quest pathing by accident during a certain quest where i had to reach a location, no matter what path i took i could not reach it and it stumped me for probably about half an hour when i accidentally pressed zl outside of combat and saw that option, i pressed it and it showed me how to reach the area, there was a tiny little hole in the wall that if you were just walking you would likely NEVER see it that I had to use to get to the location.

My current biggest stress in life is figuring out what to spend silver coins on. Classes are great but at this point I’m almost maxed out on classes just from doing side content. I’m worried if I spend on cards that I’m just gonna have a bunch of excess items at the end. But I also hesitate to spend the items until I’ve maxed out my gems. Am I overthinking this? Absolutely. But that’s just how my brain works.

I did not know about the collectipedia symbol on the HUD screen. Thanks. I'm 52 hours in and in the final area, but nice to know.

Also PERSONALLY i like to turn off damage numbers from my partys attacks, and only show the numbers of the character im playing as. Its just less clump

man, I've been playing for 80+ hours and never thought to change my targeting. What a lifesaver

Im on my 97th hour maxing all the levels of all the classes. I learned everything you said in the tips. Even the L and R for the screenshots and shortcuts. Its noted in the tips and tutorials. Most players doesnt even read the settings and tips. Just saying.

Step 1, play agnus classes

Beat the game. My big tip I found out late is more about FUSION ARTS and INTERLINK LEVEL. I thought at first that if you hold down ZR and X, you can fuse the regular art and master art if they are both filled. However, it wasn't clear if you can fuse matching arts on Y, A and B...you can! And each time you used a fused art you are filling your INTERLINK LEVEL GAUGE. Get that to level 3, then combine two players with link and u can pound away with brute force in battles. Also, I notice you explain using ZL/Y to show map path. Which is nice if you are truly lost. However, I find the game fun and challenging studying the map (sooooo much better than Xc2 lame map) and figuring out how to get to tricky areas. I will saying, "painting the map", that is, venturing over to unexplored area on the map, will open up wonderful new area that I am still discovering after beating the game at over 100 hours. This is a well made game. Enjoy!

Quest route is anything but helping sometimes, it really need to be tweaked.

I changed the area map to map since it‘s quicker for me since the area you are in pre selected in map so you only need to press A but you can quickly fast travel around to other areas without having to go through the menu.

Another tip is when climbing down a mountain or a hillside - you can let go with B and when you’re near the bottom, just move your character towards the wall again and they’ll cling on. Gets you down walls quicker and you don’t lose any health 😃

Finished the game and I never noticed you could edit the shortcuts.

During combat you can press R3 for a quickstep, that lets you reposition yourself faster around the enemy

Hey if anyone is worried about not getting the Monado skin for the Sword class because you don’t have the Shulk amiibo, you unlock it after beating the main story.
