Hi Angie, Thank you for the honest review. I would appreciate some suggestions from you if you could help me out. I am starting a small e-commerce store, and I am planning to customize packaging cardboard boxes with my logo/name and some other text on them. I considered having a personalized stamp but it's too much to spend if you need another design or another text stamp. Then I came across Silhouette Mint which sounds good to make as many stamps as I want but the max size they support is 45mm x 60mm which is still smaller. Then I came across your video of PrintMaker review, I liked this device mainly because you can print design on the go without making a stamp out of it first. I wanted to ask if PrintMaker would be a good fit for the purpose given the smaller area and other issues you mentioned in the video. Can you suggest me another device perhaps? I don't have enough knowledge regarding this technology.

I would love to hear how the DTF equipment initial investment is VS what someone starting sublimation with the printer conversion (ex: Epson ET-2803, like I did) and how it prices out in the long run. Longevity, wear and tear, start up costs, maintenence needed and cost, etc.

What happens if your printer purge file comes out perfect but then when printing something that is a normal red or a normal blue it has vertical lines? I tried adjusting the print head and stuff.

I absolutely love watching your videos and they are always so helpful but I have looked through one of your videos and every video I can find online about issues with sublimation. I’ve pressed a few T-shirts with the subli hav on cotton and darks and they came out great, and I did one on a shirt the other day and the ink bled all over while I pressed it and then today, I tried to do a polyester hat, but it was dark colored so I did the easy subli and my ink bled all over again so what am I doing wrong?

I jumped on the Cricut 40% sale on iron on vinyl. I'm excited waiting to receive the reflective rainbow iron on vinyl. I was looking for it locally since you premiered it on your channel and couldn't find it. I also have uv pink and blue color changing iron on vinyl. That you also showed on another video. I gave to go back and find it so I can make your T-shirt project with them. Thank you so much for all your wonderful ideas. I may not make your projects exact but you give me a lot of inspiration. Have a wonderful day.

Any printer brand I have ever had has clogged. I'm a very infrequent user. But I bought this printer at a heavy use period of my life and I hoped it wouldn't clog when I printed less... Well I went months without printing and it clogged. I used to have to get a print head cleaning kit and take the printer apart to fix it... I get that these steps seem time consuming. But because it has a Power Cleaning function, I never have to go through a frustrating and messy manual cleaning. That's a huge perk for me. I love this printer!

What should have been mentioned in section 10:14 is that using Air-Assist would have prevented any of the charring. I would not recommend any laser without an Air-Assist; it is crucial to have one. For those thinking of a Glowforge, realize how much you will be paying for software subscriptions per year $$$$$$. Every content creator leaves out the high cost of the Glowforge subscription. You can use the Glowforge software without a subscription, but it is VERY limited and restricted in use. Additionally, Glowforge does not allow third-party software like LightBurn to be used. I have the xTool S1 40-watt with Air-Assist and riser, purchased on Amazon for $1,999. I also have the WeCreat and will not recommend it due to the lack of support. WeCreat has a reputation for pointing the finger at their customers for common issues. I have gone through three defective WeCreat lasers, and each was a nightmare with support. You won’t hear from content creators about support, as most have not dealt with it and have been sponsored. I will be doing a WeCreat review on my channel soon that no one is talking about. I also had the Roly LaserMatic MK2, and without a doubt, they’re number one in support among other brands. Roly will walk you through the leader setup by Zoom call and provide help or learning LightBurn thereafter. Best of the best in support, hands down Roly! I am loving the S1. I did have some issues with the hardware, and xTool was quick to send out parts. Otherwise, the S1 is the mid-range diode laser with precise accuracy due to the pinpoint system. You don’t need a camera! In fact, most cameras on enclosed lasers like Glowforge, WeCreat, and LaserMatic use a fisheye lens that requires the cutting or engraving to be dead center under the camera. And if your projects are into batching (multiple items at once) forget the accuracy. Anything outside of the camera range will be off. The Glowforge camera is poorly made. WeCreat is hit or miss depending on the complexity of the project. Regardless, cameras with fisheye lenses are not accurate. That’s why the xTool S1 pinpoint system is accurate enough to engrave a grain of rice or a toothpick. After I purchased the S1, coming from camera-based lasers, I thought I would lose precision-absolutely not, it was a breeze. I will note that the major con of the S1 40-watt module is the lack of sufficient airflow with the Air-Assist. The S1 Air-Assist isn’t strong enough for the 40-watt laser module. It is great for the 20-watt but lacks power for the 40-watt. This is a design flaw I contacted xTool about. Out of all the mid-range diode lasers, I can testify that the xTool S1 is on top of my list for design, craftsmanship, and precision cutting and engraving. Plus, xTool just released (in beta) the ability to use a smartphone as a camera in xTool Creative Space. It’s good but not perfect and will improve. As for the price of the S1, xTool has promos going on all the time. xTool also has a trade-in promotion. From a Cricut cutter to a laser, you can trade in for a new xTool’s laser. Plus, you don’t need to send in the trade; it’s just another promo without actually sending in your device. No other companies are offering this type of promotion. Again, I highly recommend the xTool S1. And I will bet 100% you’re going to love it. With some cons (like all products) the pros outweigh them. Plus, xTool’s support is near the top, not great, but definitely above from most. That said, “NO”, I am not sponsored by xTool, nor do I accept any sponsored programs on my KZbin channel. I only recommend products I have personally used and tested with a clear understanding that it is my opinion and not paid for by any company. Every product tested and in ongoing use is paid for from my own pocket. After the review, most of the products are donated to the charity of my choice.

Air Assist was not used in this video as I used the very basic laser here for someone that may do a purchase for the first time. Glowforge subscription is optional as you can use your machine without paying the fee. I do really like this laser and actually agree with you on a majority of your points.
