Hey great video but I think the ai smoke was designed to have a smaller dispersion not to hit it further

Just my opinion, but I thought the best shaft for Matt was the second one, think it was the 65 gram stiff. The one he hit three consecutive shots dead straight. In the fairway is important. Don’t like to see hooks left followed by push right regardless of distance.

That will certainly come but we wanted to get info out on the new one. They are very different beasts from a swinging point of view with original Synystr being quite tip balanced and the CB being much higher balance but both are stable in the tip and low spin

What is your opinion on swing weight vs total weight? I have been using JumboMax tour grips that reduce my swing weights to c6-c7 which has been great for me. I have 120ss with a very aggressive transition and it seems like it helps me control the face.

Any UST in your shaft matrix? Thinking about trying out the UST LIN-Q Black, heard it's very linear so a project x iron shaft profile almost. Without being very tip heavy or with a bad feel, a "better" version of the HZRDUS black in a way. Any experience to share on that shaft?

I love the stock shaft. I got a 46.08 bent to 44 degrees and a 60.12 lob wedge. They are smaller than the Vokeys I’ve played over the years, but they feel really good and for some reason, I seem to make more consistent contact with the pitching wedge. I like em.

Great video Simon. Watching you do these fittings made me drive 3 hours to come for a fitting at Precision Golf. Initially I was disappointed that I was not able to book a fitting with you but Tom (Field) did such am amazing job that I was lefted very impressed. You guys are world beaters. For my curiosity, why was the young lady not offerred to try a Titleist driver head? The GTs were probably not released at the time of fitting but the TSRs were probably worth a try?
@Precision_Golf3 күн бұрын
Thanks and glad you enjoyed your fitting. The combination of launch and spin required meant we needed a lower spinning head than the Titleist TSR whilst keeping launch and up do the flight window with the Titleists at the time (whilst keeping forgiveness) meant the other models were slightly better. TSR3 might have either for spin but would have knocked launch down too much

If the difference was marginal then I absolutely agree but with such a huge difference in launch data and with the same club delivery it was stark. However this was also meant to be a short video and we may do a more detailed and longer one in future

Been fortunate enough to have this in my 7 iron, an mb101. Have been very pleased with the consistent play of that iron. At 125x I feel unfettered when I want to hit with a firm strike. Am pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a perhaps more boardy feel in 125x's. Instead I feel smoothness from the Velocore et al. Will be adding this to my other clubs. Time and money permitting. It's been a pleasure to hit. I have not been disappointed. I do confirm the spread is consistent to where you aim it. I currently have X100's in my 5 and 6 iron(mc501's) and also Lz 6.5's in the 8 and 9 irons(241's). This has been very satisfactory setup. I look forward to replacing them all with Axiom 125x's. Thank you for your study/research into the Axiom shafts. Very Beneficial.

Assuming face and path are zero is there anyway of calculating how far offline a 7 iron would be for example if it a club was 2° upright or flat when it should be standard.
@Precision_Golf5 күн бұрын
Hi Mark. At what clubspeed and at what distance? It’s alarming that in an aeronautical world, 1° off course is 1mile off course after 60miles! 🤯
@RogueWraith9095 күн бұрын
I pull a cheeky at my local range and take a few (4 or 5 max) "lake balls" of the type I intend to play with on course (Callaway Supersoft at the moment but I might change once I get better at hitting straighter) every now and then and hit those to see what happens with those, so far I haven't noticed too much difference but lately the range balls are looking a bit more beaten up than usual so I'll have to try again soon.
@silvermediastudio5 күн бұрын
Good question. My local range has Callaway range balls, and I usually play Callaway or Titleist balls on the course. My "water ball" are some leftover Pinnacles that will eventually all get lost or given away. I've found the range balls to be pretty good representation of my distance, trajectory, shape, and spin. Obviously, I get more spin from the wedges with a new premium ball that a range ball, but where that counts, I'm practicing with my real balls at the practice greens, not on the driving range. I think the biggest variance is going to come from balls that are really worn out or have damaged covers, because the aerodynamics in mid-flight will be very different. In those cases, it is up to you to maybe not hit the worst balls of the batch, or use them for shorter practice, or just accept they will have some funky flight. I'm fortunate that my two local ranges keep the ball supply in good condition, definitely above average from what you find at more recreational/entertainment focused ranges.
@Precision_Golf5 күн бұрын
Great points there, especially the one about using more with balls for shorter shots of accepting an odd flight with them. Thanks for watching and commenting

I thought that if you're hitting it to the left for a right handed golfer you would want to add weight but you took weight out. Can you elaborate on that a little?
@Precision_Golf5 күн бұрын
For Bijan if the club gets behind him he fetches the head and flips it over. If there was no human reaction to the weight change then in theory heavier would create more lag and hold the face open - however there is a human swinging it!

His experience at the beginning mirrors what I saw with the Taylormade BRNR copper that it definitely was draw biased, at least the stock version! My normal shot shape is pretty neutral and I felt I really had to manipulate to keep this from going hard left
@Precision_Golf5 күн бұрын
Absolutely but moving the weights from back to front or vice versa can help reduce the bias a bit

New to golf so correct me if I’m wrong. All the metrics we see in an indoor golf simulator is based on data from the club impact through the point when the ball finally hits the screen. So how accurate it is to test balls in an indoor simulator when aerodynamics of the ball should be considered? Unless you are telling aerodynamics is simulated (unlikely) based on the dimples and material of the ball. Is the extrapolated data even worth anything for balls comparison is my point
@Precision_Golf5 күн бұрын
It is still very accurate indeed as all the parameters of ball speed, launch angle, spin axis, backspin are all measured and then through millions of shots worth of data measured outdoors for the whole flight (in Trackmans case) it then calculates the flight. For something like worn ball covers versus completely fresh balls then this has to be compared with the whole flight measured but indoor testing eliminates the atmospheric influence and still provides more than enough data points to get useful comparisons

Can you please give me some advice? I have a set of Game Improvement clubs which were fitted a year ago, one of which clubs broke a few months ago and the manufacturer has agreed to fit me for new clubs. I have subsequently bought a second hand set of Mizuno blades (not fitted) to practice with, and have been using these to play with for a couple of months. Whch set would you expect the fitter to measure as a baseline, the GI's or the blades?

Definitely the GI as those are the ones to beat 👍🏻
