Hey Shawn, Thanks for asking. One set of glues that I never see mentioned here are the Loctite Super Glues. They come is these handy applicators, and they come in at least three viscosity blends. There is the Red, (Ultra Liquid Control) Blue, (Gel Control), and Black, (Ultra Gel Control). I use them a lot. They respond to Kicker if you need it, the applicators are fairly precise. For resin parts, photoetch, and other hard to apply parts, they are frequently my go to super glue formulations. They are available at Lowes. Thanks and good luck!

I gave into temptation and bought another Excelsior model. In my defense, I've never had opportunity to light one, so that's the idea. In building three of these, the NX, NCC and the Enterprise "B" that blue strip is the bane of decals. I'm going to take your advice and paint this one. Another thing to keep in mind for this one, is that the windows have no indents on the model. So my plan is to apply just the window decals only, and use them as a drilling template. I then have a complete set of decals from Polar lights, that I'll apply at the end. We'll see how it turns out. Thanks for the great suggestion. Dale

I've never built the revells. The Mobius kits are pretty amazing, but the fit is still pretty tough to manage. Good luck and have a blast building them!

@@thesloppymodeler mk 2 is nearly complete the reveils kit was real nice thought I'd have more issues but no to much surprise all fits snug no saging joined lined up and minimal body sanding needed .already got the metals base coats done just moving on to the join seems and other bits of blaster soot marks. Then decals . Thanks fellow bsg peep ✊ looking forward to Mk7 of the 2 was this nice . Details are sharp and good .got Both in a great combo eBay sale .shocked was misses that found them for me she supports my hobbies she said its better than me drinking being on drugs or ripping sports bikes about .got a large young fam and unwell with genetic issues so chills and more sedated life is my calling .thanks man good to find fellow bsg fans and builders thought I was the last one late to the party as always lol 🤣 been a bsg Followet since original way back with the shiny chrome cylons centurions lol 🤣🤣🤟✊

@@thesloppymodeler I'm going to attempt to fill some of the seams with a 3d printer pen. Should be able to squirt in some melted filament into the gaps then sand a putty over. I'll keep you updated on the build.

It's a great kit, I haven't seen the new one that is supposed to be in scale with the Jupiter II. So maybe I'll get to do another one. However, the masking is off the charts with this one. Good Luck

@@chrisresor1893 one challenge is if you paint the interior of the canopy, and the exterior of the canopy, is to make sure you paint the inside with a coat of the exterior paint color. That way, when you paint the final interior paint color, that won't show through from the outside. Good luck!

The spinning bussard collectors were from ebay and they look really nice. Sure Mr. Wolf. The 1/350s are about 32 to 34" long for the TOS and TMP ships respectively. The 1/537 is about 18" long, and I would avoid that post haste. It's a terrible kit. This little 1:1000 kit is fantastic, and about 10" long with about 6" wide. Happy modeling!

@@whitewolf3051 a 1/2500 scale model of the enterprises is about 6" long. They are very tiny. Just keep in mind, that as you go smaller, the detail diminishes. Good luck with your builds.

I actually cut a hole in the wood, and the magnet is only covered by a thin sheet of styrene. I think the wood filler I used is too thick, and the model is too heavy. That magnet only supports 500grams. The model is 250, and the magnet itself is 200 grams, so that causes the ship to sink. I have an alternative I'm working on. The falcon is painted and weathered. Just finishing the base. Thanks!

I agree. With the refit, I tried to imagine where the the balance point between Enterprise, and TOS. I think the color that I used, worked pretty well.

Shawn, thanks for the compliment. It was a lot of work, but it came out better then I expected. In my opinion, the central shuttle bay is awesome. It turned out amazing. The two side bays, not so much. You can't see them well and it's a lot of work for little reward. Good luck with your build!
