It's possible, but i have only managed it while connected with the usb cable.

How did you connect sound to the box? I usually see these come with aux cables but I didn't see you use that cable in this video.

I think the auxiliary cable is for early systems, but if you have the evo nbt or newer, you will not need that cable. Plus, the box connects with Bluetooth.

In the menu system, it says carplay you connect it once through that, and it will automatically connect to andriod auto through that or you can hard wire it for the first time and it will remember the connection wirelessly. The instructions in the box will explain better.

thx for such a comprehensive video man. i put a screen in my e87 and it legit made it feel like a brand new car. question: can you post a video showing what its like to getting into the car to drive normally. eg. do you need to turn anything special on or does Android Auto just connect immediately? my screen won't connect for like the first 2 mins so I've always had to use the cable... which isnt great. cheers

Thanks for the comment 🙂 I can tell you that it's almost instant when I start the car if I have my phone with me. If I don't have my phone, it just boots to the original menu. It's different with the screen installation as it's running andriod os, and it will be like restarting your mobile phone, that's why it takes longer. The boxes connect using Bluetooth. I hope this helps.

The sound quality is great. It actually gave me more bass than the stock system provided. No hiss. I did go back to the site and I couldn't find this exact unit anymore. That's why I didn't add one plus all the similar boxes where at around €200

I have a 2001 Xk8 black on black. Ford jack up the engine the timing jump with the lifters open. Wonderful the engine is gone. Next time I will put in a LS3 in and keep running!

Wonderful car! This X-19 IS like a Baby Ferrari! The owner knows how to drive, and how to handle a clutch. He must have had perfect practice in operating a clutch, because not many people can be as smooth and exacting. It as much of a joy watching the owner drive as it is watching this car's performance. Had a blue 78' x1/9 RH Australia deliverd, fun car. Engine & Brakes would transform them.Looks great in white, Early ones could came in white in Canada, usally blue,bronze or green metalic.
