Soul Control is a really fun deck in this format as long as you don't brick too hard on Tribute monsters or Soul Exchanges lol. I have some quick notes on the list though: -Wall of Illusion is generally a bit awkward in this deck and not just for the recycling of Man-Eater Bug that you mentioned. Soul Control generally wants their opponent to have monsters on board that they can use to tribute out their big guys and so having a defender that bounces your opponent's monsters back to hand can often be more of a hindrance than a help. -Ultimate Offering can be used for OTKs, but its main purpose in decks like this is to dodge trap hole by chain-blocking the summons of your monsters. It can also serve a key defensive role by bringing out defenders in your opponent's battle phase (which is a major reason why decks like this have started cutting Waboku from the main deck) Lastly this isn't a note on the deck itself, but in one of the games your opponent chained a Waboku in response to a Reinforcements activation. While that is technically a possible sequence of events if you activate Reinforcements on attack declaration, generally people activate Reinforcements in Damage Step at which point Waboku can no longer be activated. That interaction comes up a fair bit in YK so just thought I'd point it out. All in all though, it's great to see you exploring these formats like this! As someone who has also embarked on this journey, it makes me happy to see more people trying out these formats and I hope you enjoy playing through them as much as I have!

Awesome to see more coverage of Yugi-Kaiba Format! A lot of people have lost some interest in the format given the power of stall mill (which is a deck that many people don't like playing or playing against), but the games can still be pretty fun overall. Keep up the good work, I'm excited for when you get to Critter format, which is my favorite of the early DM era formats!

I’m curious to know why you include a giant soldier of stone over a third copy of wall of illusion since the defense of woi is allready high enough to block Lajin and others. Plus it has the bounce effects to gain tempo over your opponent

I really like editing to include the DDS promos, which were legal while the first limited list was in effect. Acid trap hole makes for some interesting play against flip control

Great deck. I'm doing a new version of this deck for the current format. I'm new to speed duel and I created the deck (and using the duck as the main monster), then a friend told me the deck actually exists 🤣

I thought this game was impossible. I couldn't get past Joey and I just spammed Tristan to try and gain level and cards. I didn't realize that the types for the cards mattered.

So, from my understanding of the wording of this card, because the card says "up to", this implies that you special summon at least 1 and then "up to the number destroyed." So, if you destroy 2 normal monsters and yet only have 1 Dino to special from deck, it will still work.

Cool breakdown me and friends are gonna start messing around with speed duel we are kinda doing our own thing where we build just regular yugioh decks but with speed duel legal cards only and if they are a card thats a skill ( so zombie master etc) and our own banlist appreciate the video breakdown

this box releases everything for junk and debris if we ever get to 5ds
