250k miles. Damn that's impressive for a 3G! At least it wasn't beat to hell and back.

I still drive my wonderful, G464-propelled 1995 Eagle Summit Wagon LX 2.4L , which turns 30 on 3-13-2025, God willing. When my father died in 1994, he left me enough money to buy it new, I've driven it all these years , and it still chugs right along. I'm working on tuning it up and I'll always be grateful to my "Daddy" for loving me by working almost 40 years at the same job so as to provide for me and my 2 sisters. These memories are hard to let go of, just like my Summit Wagon, which I originally chose due to an automotive catalog I read while visiting the library.God IS GOOD !

The owner has neglected this Tiguan! I'm still driving a similar 2010 Tiguan in Australia with 230,000 km (140,000 miles). I only fill up with RON 95 or 98 gasoline, change engine oil and filter yearly or 8,000km (5,000 miles). I learnt from youtube how to change timing chain and the updated tensioner myself, also replaced the plastic water pump with an aluminium one from a reputable European OEM manufacturer. I also replaced the intake-manifold with the updated version from VW and installed a catch-can to ensure only clean air is recycled back to the engine. The tranmission is 5 speed manual with original clutch and has never been serviced except for tranmission fluild every second year. I have driven much newer Japansese SUV such as RAV4 and CRV owned by friends and relatives but still prefer the Tiguan's handling and fun driving, especially on high-speed motor/highways. The car has never let me down even once!

Thanks for the Vid. , I bought a used one in Nov last year and it already had the battery replaced in Feb of 2023, so plenty of warranty left on it even with 111000Kms on it. After a month of operating it, I had a warning light come on and brought it into a small rural dealership (Ontario Canada). It had reduced propulsion power. They completed a software update and I asked for control of the charge capacity which was dealer set to 80% when I got the car. At 80% it charges to Average-331Km now, prior to the update, the math did not work out properly for the set capacity, but now its almost spot on. The battery size in this car it 64KW, Looking forward to a small road trip to Windsor when the weather breaks. (About a 4.5 Hr trip.) Overall, i've been really happy with it so far. Too bad they stopped production of it. Its perfect for rural commuting. All of what you described in your video is what I have experienced. Thanks again.

Had a 90' in light blue that I bought from a guy I was stationed with in Germany, $3k in 1993. I drove it until 97' and shipped it home from Germany. it had a dashmat which I've always had since then. It wasn't a bad car, the transaxles and low clearance from windrows in snow meant I had to get rid of it for 4wd after I got out of the USAF. The digital dash was cool too.

You have it totally backwards dude. Everything Nesbitt learned in designing the PT he made better in the HHR, which is generally considered the better vehicle. And the SS version of the little Chevy is a totally underapprciated pocket rocket.

The Reatta was made from a shortened Rivera, it is the E platform, not the W (Regal, Century, Grand Prix, ect). Most parts are easy to find, except for the rear struts! The 1990 and 1991 versions of the Reattta do not have the touch screen, they have a normal dash. The convertible version came out in 1990 and was very popular. There are a few Reatta FaceBook pages for those wanting more info. East Coast Reatta handles harder to find parts (including rebuilt CRT screens).

Ive got a 97 slt from my grandfather with the 5.2. it's pretty much bone stock still. Even the dated platform is a lot of fun to drive. It's made me somewhat of an enthusiast for the platform as a whole. I'd like to make something like this a long term project eventually.

Anything Chrysler is Junk. This van I'd recommend to just lease and never buy as it is a mechanical asshole once warranty is null and void! Shows how good these are! This design is old as fuck anyways, the Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Kia are much better choices with updated designs and better reliability long term!

I'm surprised that you found the ride floaty. Having grown up riding in body on frame sedans, k cars, minivans, w body impalas, Buick LeSabre's, and other such vehicles, this car feels by comparison very firm in the suspension and has great driving dynamics. The 5th generation had the wide open interior and a softer suspension for sure. Materials wise this feels like it should have been something nicer than just a Ford. Perhaps if this had been a Mercury and the tourist stayed with the 5th generation design that would be more accurate.

I’ve always kinda liked these. Style is far superior to its Dodge counterpart (which is absolutely fugly)… It’s a damn shame what’s happened to the Chrysler brand. Offering only a a minivan now?… c’mon Chrysler sound definitely try to make and sell a large luxury SUV. Worrying that they would take away sales from Jeep is just ridiculous. The money goes to the same company! Instead they tried to market the Wagoneer as a high quality, top tier, premium luxury vehicle… which seems dumb since Jeep isn’t and never was a luxury brand. I hope they are able to save the Chrysler brand. Ford needs to figure out what to do with Lincoln as well. The problem has always been using the exact same platform and features between brands. Either offer more features in luxury brands, bolder styling, or if you are offering the same products between nameplates; then offer better warranty coverage. Hard to justify paying more for a different badge emblem only… It’s been sad watching so many great nameplates drop off from the American auto industry. My favorite automaker has always been Studebaker, followed by FoMoCo tied with Mopar, then GM. I was especially sad to see Ford axe Mercury as this was my favorite brand next to Studebaker. I personally think Ford should’ve turned them into a performance division. But what the hell do I know, I’m just a simple Gearhead….
