Cat 8 for ps4
@EQLNetworksSecurity8 күн бұрын
Using Cat 8 Ethernet cables for a PS4 can improve your network connection quality, but it's not necessary for most users. Here’s what you need to know: Why Cat 8 for a PS4? High-Speed Potential: Cat 8 supports up to 40 Gbps at short distances (up to 30 meters). PS4’s Ethernet port maxes out at 1 Gbps, so Cat 8 will ensure there’s no bottleneck caused by the cable. Future-Proofing: If you upgrade your setup to a PS5 or connect devices requiring higher bandwidth in the future, Cat 8 might still be useful. Shielding: Cat 8 cables have excellent shielding to reduce interference, which can benefit those in areas with lots of electronic noise. For most PS4 setups, a Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable is sufficient since they support speeds much higher than the PS4 can utilize. Cat 8 is designed for data centers or professional setups; it might not provide noticeable performance improvements over lower categories in home use. Recommendation: If you're on a budget, stick to Cat 5e or Cat 6 for gaming. If price isn't a concern, Cat 8 won't hurt but may be overkill. It’s more about ensuring you have a stable connection.

@EQLNetworksSecurity14 күн бұрын
No, the HikVision DS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZS is an IP camera and doesn’t need a DVR. It works with an NVR or can store footage on an SD card, NAS, or server.

@EQLNetworksSecurity14 күн бұрын
The IPC-7100 is a passive Ethernet over Coax (EoC) converter typically used for transmitting Ethernet signals over coaxial cables. Passive converters like the IPC-7100 do not actively amplify or process signals and usually rely on the electrical power and signal capabilities of the connected devices. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, the key considerations are: Direct PoE Transmission: The IPC-7100 itself would need to be capable of passing PoE through the coaxial cable. This depends on whether the device's design accommodates both Ethernet and PoE power signals over coax. Compatibility with PoE Standards: If the IPC-7100 can pass PoE, it must be compatible with the PoE standards (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt) for successful power delivery. Based on typical passive EoC converters like the IPC-7100: They generally pass through Ethernet signals, but not all can transmit PoE without additional support. You might need a compatible active PoE injector or adapter at either end of the coaxial cable to supply power to PoE-enabled devices.

@EQLNetworksSecurity14 күн бұрын
The Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2-LU, DS-2CD2T87G2-L, and DS-2CD2T87G2-LK are part of Hikvision's ColorVu series, which emphasizes high-resolution, full-color imaging even in low light. The differences primarily relate to design, features, and intended use. Here's a breakdown: 1. DS-2CD2087G2-LU Form Factor: Mini Bullet camera. Resolution: 8 MP (4K Ultra HD). Special Features: Built-in microphone for audio recording. Compact design suitable for smaller spaces. Ideal For: Residential and small commercial applications requiring discreet monitoring with audio. 2. DS-2CD2T87G2-L Form Factor: Large Bullet camera. Resolution: 8 MP (4K Ultra HD). Special Features: Larger housing designed for outdoor and robust environments. No built-in microphone. Ideal For: Outdoor areas requiring a larger, more visible deterrent and durability. 3. DS-2CD2T87G2-LK Form Factor: Large Bullet camera (similar to DS-2CD2T87G2-L). Resolution: 8 MP (4K Ultra HD). Special Features: Identical to DS-2CD2T87G2-L but may include additional region-specific features like firmware optimizations or certifications. No built-in microphone. Ideal For: Outdoor settings, often chosen based on specific market availability or local regulations.

@markwienandsАй бұрын
@@EQLNetworksSecurity The Bullet DS-2CD2T47G2H or the DS-2CD2047G2H But just be aware that's it's just two technology in one package. And you can only choose one of the picture modes at a time ~ either Color vu, or IR. And the hybrids have both supplemental IR and white lighting. So for example, you can schedule the ColorVu to work during daylight / low lighting, and then switch to the IR once it's completely dark. Oh and just a heads up, HikVision is releasing a number of product lines on the new Pro Series ColorVu cameras, they are calling it ColorVu 3.0, at the end of this year. There will be the Smart Hybrid ones also.

Honestly i think there is something wrong with the 208 model or settings are bad... or might be the old firmware. I have both of the cameras in 4mm variant and to be honest they are exactly the same, i mean 1:1. It seems there is literally the same hardware inside them just different casing. The light on 30m variant is more spread than 60m but at the end with no light sources around (i live in the woods) they both see 40m max and thats it. Only difference between the cameras seems to be the size and 30m model has microphone.

@@EQLNetworksSecurity Ok thank u.....Ive been studying your fantastic and very informative videos with the Dahua line of cameras. Ive been running a coaxial HDCVI for 11 years with 14 cameras. I spent a lot of money over the years chasing a better picture. I thought 3 years ago upgrading most of my cameras to 4k I was on top of the mountain....hahaha I was so wrong. es during the day they look great. But going back to look was recorded is a whole different story. So Ive been fighting for years with the company that sold me the equipment that they deceived me about HDCVI 4k cameras. What I was able to figure out that watching a couple of my 4mp cameras that the pictures were flowing really smooth when something or someone would cross them while my 4ks were choppy or they seem to hesitate. So I confronted them why is this happening? While doing lots of research over the years all my cameras are Dahua with no name on them. Also my XVR is a Dahua made too just with no name on it. So what I figured out my XVR can only play 4k cameras at 7fps while my 4mp cameras are at 15fps. So I was pissed!! And its Dahua and my camera company pretty much deceiving me on buying products that cannot live to its full capacity what these are advertising. So now I do own two PTZs that are 8mp 4k and not mounted yet but in my system. So knowing all that facts I'm making the change to full IP cameras. I'm still on the fence if I want to buy a NVR from the people Im dealt with all these years and honestly they have been great. Just pissed some more upfront facts would have been told and just stuck to 4 and 5mp cams. So I'm starting the slow and long change over. I bought a 1000ft of Cat6a shielded and connectors and some testers to get my practice in. I know everything there is to know changing out BNC connectors and pigtails etc...They suck!!...My XVR sucks because u move it the BNC connectors are so close together in the box it rattles my imagine all the time. Plus lets not talk about the bulky mess stringing them to a power source main box...UGH!! yes got a mile of coaxial wires in my attic and a bunch of ladder climbing to do soon. But after such a long boring life story of myself...lol you and your videos are helping me decide in the future which IP would be best. Thank you again so much for doing these videos. Wayne from USA

The problem is that on paper, the specifications are almost exactly the same, but the difference is huge between the two cameras.
