What brand headlight buckets?

The headlights are LED and are sold as jeep lights but they fit perfectly. The buckets came with the car and were a stock replacement.

The headlight extensions were replacement and were purchased through NPD. As with all replacement parts they required trimming and work to get the lines perfect.

The window Im working on has been damaged years ago from someone that broke into my car. They pried the vent window with a screw driver. That broke the chrome dowel at the top of the window frame. They also damaged both inside and outside stainless steel strips. So I found a used frame ($95) on Ebay that has nice stainless steel strips and I also found a nice, used chrome frame ($45) also on Ebay. Surprisingly, your frame is different than mine, but yours is a 55 and mine is a 56. Mine has no screw at the top. Everything is pop riveted.

How much is the opeing angle of the hood? Ive heard the billet ones dont open as far Thank you

It didn’t open as far as stock but it was only a slight difference. The original hinges on this particular car did not do a good job of holding the hood up, even after changing the springs. The billet was a huge improvement and felt very sturdy.

Ever any issues with the original style front mounts? Your transmission was supported by the original frame brackets? In my ‘55 project I’m going to run a 327 and aluminum case PowerGlide.

The front mounts are good to a point. Going higher horsepower can necessitate changing the mounts depending on how hard you plan on driving it. Tremec transmissions do not recommend using the original transmission bel housing brackets. It can cause cracks in the case. There are probably many people that drag raced these cars with the original mounts and never had a problem.
