Very nice looking work brother! That is not a small or easy to do job. Very nice to see, and coming out so pretty and proper like that. Excellent work my friend.❤

Love the car, hate the color. Get rid of it red. Come on old people, stop with the cheesy over done red paint.

I got a 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop and I am trying to restore it for my mom and dad I am lost
@cvclassics19 күн бұрын
My recommendation is to first have a clear vision of what you are trying to accomplish and the goal of your restoration. Is it a show car, is it a nice driver, do you want it all original or more of a resto mod with upgraded safety features. Next do a lot of research and plan out the build in phases, suspension, drive line, paint body, glass, interior, etc. there are several books on how to restore a 57 that may offer you some guidance. If you plan on sending it out you have to find a reputable shop that can handle a car like that, Lastly what ever your budget is double it. There are always costs involved that you don’t plan for or realize until you tear the car down. Which ever way you decide it’s awesome that you are wanting to do that for your parents. Hope this helps and good luck with your project.

I worked for BMW for 10 years, one weekend my dealership took a red Ferrari 458 on trade for a new M6 convertible and some cash. Everyone wanted to touch it, so then they roped it off but people kept taking pics of it. We sold it for $235,000 to someone, but a guy before that declined to buy it because it didn’t have cruise control 😂

I’ve read that they tapered the stripes on fastbacks, they would be more narrow in the front and rear of the car than they were in the middle of the car. I’m guessing since you used a laser on both sides of the stripes that you didn’t do that? How do they look being perfectly straight? Thanks
@cvclassics2 ай бұрын
We did do the taper as per the measurements for the Shelby stripes. The two inner lines are perfectly straight. The outer lines were measured and the taper was built in to the lazer line from the smallest point to the widest point. The lazer really helped to keep the lines straight over things like the hood scoop and rear spoiler.

Nicely done. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 8" at the horsepower levels most people run, particularly on the street. You probably worked harder than most to clean the inside of the housing, but that's a good thing. Budgets matter, but if at all possible I think 4 wheel disk brake conversions are highly beneficial to mix old cars into modern traffic. I refuse to be that guy with a car that's very cool standing still but a 50mph roadblock on the freeway.
