I survived rape and later came to know that he was hiv positive. I was traumatized. I shattered me from inside. I couldn't sleep at nights. The horror of being raped was itself a big trauma and imagination of carrying a virus as its savinour was even a bigger one. I stayed in denial for 16 months. I was afraid of getting tested. On January 02, 2024, i went to laboratory and got teated. I got my results after 3 hours. Those were the longest and moat painful 3 hours of my life. When they were drawing blood from my veins, i felt the same pain which i felt when he was raping me. I know, it was my brain who was playing tricks on me but i was literally paining down there. I cried, cried and cried. The doctors consoled me and called me brave. I CAME OUT NEGATIVE 🎉❤.. The happiest moment of my Life. Sorry for my bad English. Even if you are undetectable you must ALWAYS have protected sex. Just because you were ubdetectable DOES NOT mean you will stay that way, even on medications. Please use protection.

Someone close to me called me crying hysterically on the phone while at the hospital. I was the first person she told. We talked for 5 minutes and then she had to hang up cause her mom was calling. She called me back about 5 minutes later. She was way more calm, and kind of agitated. She told me her mom got mad at her for getting hiv. And was more worried about if she had it now. When she finally got home, her mom bought Clorox bleach products for the whole house and asks my friend to wipe the toilet and door knobs after she touches them. It got me so angry to think people are that dumb to think you can get it like that. Then she tells me that her brother hasn’t smoked with her since he found out.. it just goes to show how dumb people are, because if he was smoking with her the whole time she didn’t know she had it, and she was at her sickest point, why would they think now that she’s diagnosed and getting better that she’s even more contagious.

Do you get hypertension the first two weeks?

I am worried I have been infected by other person. Only way I can think of if they poured blood in my drink. Because I haven't had sex in years. Only now getting symptoms

This is a big issue with many women now days. HIV will never be accepted, it will always be stigmatised and always a disease no one wants. Just add the incurable std status to the driver’s license. Mandate everyone to go get tested every 6months or at the time of testing. Old driver’s license gets destroyed, if stolen or lost you can still check online the most updated std status showing the testing date. Go get tested, doctors report to the state, the state puts in on the driver’s license. Can request to see drivers license with the most updated std status and testing date. Solution for minimizing and preventing spread of STDs. If someone refuses to show you their drivers/ state license you know they have an std.

I am heartbroken because my friend has HIV and it has completely changed his mood and behavior, he is still a nice person with a sweet heart but I can tell that he is more closed in and non chalant about things. I told him that I'm here for him but it has really affected him emotionally even though he say nothing wrong with him.
