What a lovely and romantic piece! I have seen all my life but only from purchased patterns. I have no idea how to make my own patterns and now I live in Mexico and they have lots and lots of fabric stores but they don’t sell patterns, they just design and make their own. They don’t even use a taylor’s mannequin! I have so much to learn!

Walking the pattern pieces is genius, im making my first stays and im cheap so i dont want to pay for a pattern(, and i also dont have a printer so i couldnt print it anyways so would be a waste,) but that means im staring at random patterns and then winging it, drawing something that might be correct on some scrap paper, i have also misplaced all my tape measures so im using a piece of velvet ribbon, "measuring" me, the dummy im holding it up to to see if it makes sense on, and then just holding the length up to the pattern im drawing out 😅 chaos sewing, but i will have a pair of stays by the end of the week im certain!

I like the petal bodice and all the tulle. and organza! I think I'd have preferred more fabric length on the sides for a continuous fabric around the back, perhaps at a 1/3 length of the front panels. It's fascinating to watch you design by draping. Love it.

There is a coffee creamer ad that shows these ethereal movements of the creamer as it hits the dark coffee and mixes in. The bubbles of the gown reminds me of that moment. I can visualize how the finished piece looks as the model walks around in it. I really love the color and shimmer of the fabric. AI or not, it’s a lovely design. Keep doing you ❤

Love this video. My engineer son and I got to talking about AI a couple of years ago and I told him that it would never be able to create like a human could. I love to knit as well as sew, so we made a bet. He wanted a new beanie hat, and we agreed that if I lost the bet, I would make him the hat. We typed " Make a knitting pattern for a beanie hat that says 'Made by AI'". Sure enough, it created a very basic hat pattern. It didn't have the techniques that an experienced knitter would use, but fortunately, it was a very easy hat to make. :) When it comes to textiles, AI can provide a surprisingly good place to start, but it doesn't have that je ne sais quoi or finesse that each of us bring to our own individual items.

Oh what an interesting experiment! I didn’t think it can make a knitting pattern 😃

Designers will always be needed; but AI can help them. Inspiration is useful. Like other illustrations of clothing, some ideas cannot be made in real life. A video on AI crochet patterns pointed out some of them have mistakes in the directions, while others can not be made, they are just pictures. www.youtube. com/watch?v=8W3rfego8Ow

The finished piece is imaginative, yet classic. To me, it recalls curls of smoke that rise from a candle or a cigarette, light and airy. Lovely. I hope you will do more of these.

I am making these only for these youtube videos to demonstrate design ideas. Half scale dummies are often used for educational purposes or to figure out complicated designs with reduced cost and time.

This is lovely! Do you ever make the full scale item, or just mannequin size? What do you do with your mock-ups? I assume they are all as beautiful as this.

I actually only create these half scale dresses for KZbin, and at the moment they are just neatly stored. I might try to sell them as display items not sure yet 🙂 Of course in a professional setting I make real size dresses ☺️

Hey! I just found your channel today and I'm amazed by your work and personality. I would love to see you create some couture garments in Clo3D. I would also love a q&a video in which you can tell us about your background in fashion.

Wow Henni that gown is absolutely stunning 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷! This is proof that AI cannot replace the human touch. To come up with visual ideas or inspiration I think AI can do an excellent job but when it comes to execution and actual details I think it will probably never get there. And I don’t mean automation for sewing and cutting because we already have that. I’d like to see a robot they can do the whole process you did all by yourself, including ordering the fabric and surpassing any obstacles that may arise like getting the wrong color. It all starts with the human input anyways so until we don’t see AI be the genesis of creativity plus all the rest I takes to do such work I think designers and aspiring ones can sleep tight ☺️. Love the introduction of this video by the way. AI generated images always get wonky limbs and hands for some reason 😂

Very clever on using boning on the front part, on and the knickers❤. With that tulle on the front part I was thinking perhaps you could put gathers on one side of a rectangle and it will help with that "fan" effect, but your free styling also worked very well. I love you videos please keep making them.
