So sorry I missed live this round, seems I have some explaining to do on my Maul shot! 😅 The saber catchlight in the eyes is 100% real! Sort of a happy accident. I was setting up for an extreme closeup of Maul's eyes, and while moving the lights around I ended up stumbling upon getting the reflection of the Godox tubelight in the eye. I knew I had to run with it. Aside from basic RAW processing color/exposure edits, I didn't really mess with the eyes in post. The small tupperware bin he's sitting in is so I can move him around in frame slightly. When shooting this close to subjects, millimeters make a difference, so I often find it easier to slightly move or rotate the figure around, rather than move the camera. The bin just slides easy on the tabletop. Hope that helps!

Replay Crew again sadly,... the Hammond Collection Brachi was sprayed with a spray bottle and I kinda had to move further back because the droplets covered up too much of the fig itself. And the shot was all in camera, only fiddled with lights and shadows in post. And as always thanks for all the kind words, gang! 🦕🍻

@@Moz_Toy_Box shoot, if you could make a tutorial on how to composite for toy photography that would be awesome! Like how you did with the Kratos tutorial but with a background stock image. I always struggle with blending and adding proper highlights and shadows. Like your Batman photos blend so well into the environments. Perspective is always a challenge too.

Awesome tutorial, love it! May have to try that plug in, looks pretty cool. May I suggest if you want to get more of the Hulks face maybe expand Logans claws, like in the films as supposed to the comics. Should give you a better Hulk reflection. Thanks for the feedback. Sucks that I left just before you went over my pic lol. I run into a problem with the lighting of the saber because the figure is between two columns of a diorama I made so the light I used is placed at 11 o clock which isn’t ideal. 😅

@@Moz_Toy_Box yeah. No problem. I’m relatively savvy with photoshop. This was my first time shooting in 12 scale so it was mostly a test run for how to do everything practical tbh. I found it slightly challenging to do the lighting and make it bright enough without getting hot spots. I’ve learned a bit more about diffusing light since then at least 😅

Thanks for the shoutout on my Transformers shot guys! Sorry I missed the live show this week, catching up on the replay. The sky in the background I actually shot myself at another time. I keep a personal library of sky for use cases just like this. These were also shot months apart after I got the larger figures finally. The different blur of the background was actually a total accident but I'm glad you all noticed it! 😅
