We did an 11 day Transatlantic on Prima 11/23 in the Haven. Love that everything aft is Haven including Haven only elevators. Not crazy about fold away main theater . The buffet area is much smaller then the Breakaway class. Other then thoae two things We loved it.

Zach, we just recently sailed the Equinox. We enjoyed the ship, cruise and cruise line. We find the Solstice class ships a good value with in the Celebrity ‘world’. One evening they served a wedge salad and I remember in a previous video how much you enjoy “a good wedge”! Thanks again for the videos and information.

If you look at the fact that with the Premier package you get unlimited free sushi and free drinks, plus wifi… it’s a total no brainer. If you bought a couple of drinks a day and had sushi for lunch, you’d pay the same or more anyway.

We booked and paid for a cruise. We had 60 days to cancel with a full refund. The agent told us to just take the cabin she picks and if we wanted to change we could with the carrier. We tried to change and could not ourselves she had to and she was always waiting for a call back. All with emails it was getting about 45 days out after we had requested a refund and nothing. By then we had read others reviews and problems. We ended up disputing our CC with the mention of emails and the refund condition on their ad. They did not bother to even respond. Full refund as it should have been without a hassle.

I just spent 7 glorious days on the Celebrity Apex. Definitely the most beautiful ship I have ever been on. I am enjoying it through your eyes now. Thank you for sharing!

An almost 44-minute long video? Way too long! Make your videos shorter. But having said that, I appreciated the review. Having been on both the Paradise (an overall experience I grade a C+) and the Islander (an overall experience I grade at B+), I resonated 100% with your review. Give the Islander a try. You'll enjoy it.

Just got off and boo! Some of the "best places" on the ship are radically too small. Syd Norman's hold maybe 60 people as a result on a 2 week cruise, we never got in

Thank you for your review, I tried every single restaurant while on the valiant lady and decided to skip on Test Kitchen… and I’m glad I did!!! I was on a trip back in late December and thankfully didn’t experience any slow service. I CANNOT wait to jump on another virgin cruise!

My favorite cruise for 2024 was by far my cruise on Icon of the seas! I loved how this ship never felt crowded because of all the different venues and places to eat! Also the promenade was two story and you never had to stop for things going on there because there were so many different routes to take! Also loved all of the different places to sit and relax and look out at the ocean!

This was really interesting to me, because I can relate! I almost missed the bloody boat from San Pedro when I got stuck in a traffic jam and the Long Beach Budget car rental office was closed and I had to leave the car in a cul-de-sac with a note on the windshield hoping I wouldn't get a massive ticket, and then flag down a shuttle bus to get us to the port across the bridge. But it all worked out, though with far, far too much stress!

We almost missed it once too. We always fly in the day before now. 😊

Nice video. Just a reminder. I'm a limo driver down here in South Florida. Go to Port Everglades all the time. Haven't been dropping people at Pier 29 that much this season. It is definitely the least used Pier. And then Pier 21 next. It was interesting to see the interior of 29 as I've never been inside. Actually my two cruises so far were down in Miami despite living in Plantation next to Fort Lauderdale. Thanks for the tour. I am definitely thinking of doing one of those 3 night Celebrity cruises. I wish they would dry dock the Reflection already. Maybe soon.

Glad you made it! I'm one of those who is going to take the same risk with my next cruise in April. Flying into Miami from Nashville same day of cruise BUT I feel okay about it since it's the first flight out of the gate that morning at 5:40 am. Boarding time isn't until 2:30 (Virgin), so I'm just going to relax but keep my fingers crossed!! 🙂 Also, very interested in budget cruising so will follow along for that. Thx!

Loved Silhouette . Did 10 days last year . Loved that ship. Murano is a wonderful restaurant ---definitely a special experience for those considering it. Also the Steak house was amazing. Anyone going to Key West---I rented a bike and it was a great way to see all the architecture and sights. Loved going to the winter white house of Truman and also Hemingway's house. There is a cemetary you can bike to and I went because I read in a travel book that there are some unique headstones there. There is one that reads "I told you I was sick" for a renowned hypochondriac and another one something to the effect "at last I know where my husband is sleeping" for a philanderer. Also I biked to southern most point and start and end of US 1...Rental was close to the ship and I booked online for I think $12 or so. Another time I took the little train all over and that was fun way to see things.

Zach we used to be like you and fly the same day as the cruise. It took us coming close to missing one cruise and then we actually missed the first day of a 5 day cruise. The flight was easy to get us to Nassau but it finally taught us to fly in a day early for travel in the U.S. and several days early for an international cruise.

OMG🙏🏽 I experienced a very similar late boarding experience last month. We boarded the Celebrity Silhouette @ 2:16 pm after 2 flight delays the morning of. I am an avid cruiser and always travel the day of (with extra prayers of course). Lesson learned! Going forward, I will surely fly in the day before 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 God Blessed and we made it with 14 minutes to spare I am sooo Happy and Grateful fi or that! I never want to experience the fear of missing a cruise again, so I will change my traveling style accordingly 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Great video Zach - I just returned from Long Beach on Carnival Panorama to the Mexican Riviera. I definitely flew in the day before. Heading cross-country I wouldn't risk the day of. Great advice, even if you don't always follow it. 🤣🙂 Cheers!

Retreat on the Reflection DOES NOT have the retreat sundeck. Reflection Retreat passengers are forced to fight with every other passenger for deck chairs. This deficiency alone is plenty of justification to not book the Retreat on the Reflection. Go with an Edge class ship. You can thank me later.

Prima is our favorite "quirky" ship, Zach--we just left her after her 15-day repo cruise a few weeks ago and miss it already, but loved seeing everything again on your excellent tour. Glad you enjoyed it. The "exclusive" table you mentioned in Hudson's is the officer's table (though it might be used for larger groups if the officers are eating elsewhere). We were lucky enough to be invited to join them at that table few cruises ago and it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You showed the "Dear Zafer" sheets available in the atrium (where guests can message the hotel manager, Zafer Dal, directly), and he was a thoroughly engaging, charismatic dinner host that we have enjoyed getting to know since that special night. For those sailing on Prima in the future, seek him out and introduce yourself--he's a warm, fascinating guy worth meeting. Also, I half hate exposing it, but for those who will be on Prima in the future: hit the Whiskey Bar in the afternoons after your port day...the bartenders and waitstaff are easily *the best* on the entire ship and are *so* much fun to get to know, and for some reason the cruisers who congregate there are always extra sociable and interesting to meet. You can watch sailaways from there, or walk 20 feet and be outside on deck to wave goodbye to other ships. And yes, you can get almost any drink at this bar, not just whiskey. Pro tip: Bring the head bartender (Ron) some cheddar Pringles and you'll be his friend for life (or at least a friend for the cruise). A hidden Prima gem for sure!

You saved the best for last, Zach! We’ve sailed her twice since complete renovation, and she is beautiful! And love that she’s smaller than Edge class. Prefer the solstice & millennium class for the size. Sure hope they update more of those ships. Have fun and look forward to watching this!
