I’m new to duck hunting live 30 min from Richland chambers lake and Navarro mills lake. I would love advice on places to try.

In an effort to be positive as I strive to better myself for the New Year, please allow me to add a final comment. I agree that you have to work harder, work smarter and get up earlier if you hunt public. I agree we need as many souls as possible behind the efforts to conserve habitat and ensure breeding success. I saw the best start of a Duck season in fourteen years but it is not because there are more Ducks. I can only speak for Arkansas and I put 4,704 miles on a hunting vehicle scouting and hunting in 23’-‘24 in AR alone as a point of reference. There are tons of variables out of our control. One of the only things we can control is pressure. If we do not make some sacrifices now by tweaking around the edges, stark and harsh adjustments are coming or this passion we love will go the way of the Carrier Pigeon in Arkansas. Mindsets must change to a focus on the Duck and not the opportunity. I don’t care if the USFWS has already set the season framewrk for ‘25-‘26 or not. The piper is knocking on the door. We’ve gone from ten million Ducks to six million. That should alarm all of us. Best wishes to all for a joyful 2025 filled with promise.

Social media has done a lot of bad things. I will that DrDuck and Billy at least try to teach the younger guys how to hunt the right way. Also like to say Hunter is a hell of a guy would hunt with him anytime. God Bless you Billly. Your son is a Hero.

Keep up the solid work. You guys are the only ones I enjoy tuning into. No offense to the private land guys but it’s just different watching you guys making it happen on public. Maybe we’ll cross paths one day. Until then best of luck to you and Billy.

2 points here... 1-yalk are clout chasing scum and need banned from public timber in Arkansas. 2-If yall were as good as you say you would turn those dumbass robos off and finish those ducks to the water like real hunters. Bonus- Yall got kicked out of your first spot for showing up early by game wardens...lol

Can we please make a public service announcement to stop filming boat races! Believe it or not but used to the game warden wasnt at the ramp at 2 in the morning. Yall have done a good job about not filming land marks like you used to "filming the lake" but this is the second video ive seen of this place filming a boat race and the AGFC hates that and will increase enforcement presence

You guys are the worst thing to ever happen to Public timber. Sucking the resource dry and killing the woods for social media clout. Pathetic. Can’t wait till y’all are out of these woods for good. Tree topping and shooting the raft are a slap on the face to the generations of woodsmen before you who hunted these woods sustainably and is the highest form of trash hunting there is. You are a blight on the woods and on humanity.

Was told by some very reliable sources dat certain areas of swamp not terribly far from where I live used to harbor TONS of greenheads,now that area choked off with Giant Salvinia!!Nice hunt and one day gonna try flooded timber hunt.Have a buddy with fine duck camp,Quack Shack,located in Lake Village and he is frustrated at the shear lack of ducks this year.One of his buddies and 3 hunters got four-man limit few days ago but slim pickings since-think he has had few DNF hunts AND my first split in our local marsh yielded exactly ZERO ducks,only shot 2 coots and my typical hunting buddy shot one blue wing!!!HORRENDOUS!!!
@anthonycyprusjr782915 күн бұрын
Here in de Sportsman's Paradise,we are incredibly fortunate to have quite a few Public and Federal options and not nearly the amount of ducks as we used to have.I shot my first-ever band on Dec 8th and my buddy who is our host invited another hunter with incredible yellow Lab and she got 13 of our 14 ducks,woulda most likely have gotten our 14th duck but she was NOT gaining on doggone scaup that was not hit very well,unfortunately!!!Headed back down there this Fri-Sunday hoping for a nice repeat.Duck that was banded was fine lil green wing drake,banded on 2-24-24 near Columbus,AR!!
@tonynuttz842715 күн бұрын
The out of state usage of Arkansas public timber is not the problem. The clout chasing, log shot taking, sleeping at boat ramps, "scouting" for ducks and the mindset of take take take, kill kill kill, go go go then go back to (insert your state here) and not give a care about woodsmanship or ethics.

Yes sir, thank you, always a great time getting after 'em! Wide variety of calls honestly, seems like everyone always needs another duck call haha. 737 tomahawk and cut downs from RNT, BG, Parish and Singleton are probably the most popular among the guys I've hunted with this year. Hope you're having a great season!
