Keep reading for more tips 👇 I work with a lot of chunky yarn and cord which can make hiding your ends pretty tricky! This hack changed the game for me… split the ends of your yarn first🧶 A few more tips to help… 1. Weave in different directions Don’t just weave in one direction! Back and forth, up and down will help the end to stay put 2. Put your needle through the yarn not just the crochet stitches 3. Block or wash your crochet project afterwards This helps the stitches settle! For animal fibers like wool, this will make the yarn stick (or felt) together. If you use this method I recommend NOT weaving your ends as you go in case of finding a mistake later on and needing to go back. Because those babies are NEVER coming out 😂 Have you tried this crochet trick?! #crochetproject #crochethack #crochettips #crochetstitches

Thank you!!! I rather call them by numbers. I can never remember which worsted is which or which fingering we are talking about 😂😅

Did you know this?! I remember the first time I heard the term “worsted” and being so confused! “worsted” is named after the English village of Worstead, which was a center for wool production using a specific combing technique that resulted in a medium-weight yarn. Here’s a break down of the yarn weights according to the Crafty Yarn Council including the traditional terms: 0. Lace (fingering) 1. Super fine (fingering, sock, baby) 2. Fine (sport, baby) 3. Light (worsted, DK) 4. Medium (worsted, Aran, Afghan) 5. Bulky (chunky, craft, rug) 6. Super bulky (roving) 7. Jumbo (roving) I know it seems complicated having several terms for the same weight! The numbers and descriptive words came later to make choosing a yarn easier and more accessible. What terms do you normally use to describe yarn weights? #yarnshopping #yarnshop #yarnlover #crochetyarn #crochetsupplies #crochettutorial #crochetinsta #yarnlife

I do this but with 3. The third is a quick wip, something you can do in an hour or 2 to get a sense of accomplishment before getting back to a thinky wip or long term project.

Only two? *looks around* Okay, so I'm down to two active projects, with another hibernating until the next clue, and a fourth I am angry at and a fifth I am looking at starting...

Definitions for those that are confused… “Thinky WIP” A complex crochet project that requires counting, attention to detail, and/or pattern reading “Mindless WIP” A simple crochet project you could do with your eyes closed! Do you have multiple crochet projects to fit your mood?!

I like holding it with my three last fingers and using my Pointer and thumb to steady the yarn and pull it through manually.. any tips for that
@BagsbyBento3 күн бұрын
I do something similar! Sometimes my fingers cramp from holding the yarn so be sure to take breaks when you need to.
