Do you think it is possible to replicate the painting part using Blender instead of 3DCoat, maybe with the help of the free addon Ucupaint?
@ZugZugArt2 күн бұрын
I tried painting in Blender, and I'm the Blender user for decades... I think it's not worth the effort... You definitely could get some nice results, but Blender just isn't there yet and never focused on texture painting...

Hello! Can you please help me how to quickly select a color from a model in a 3D coat? Now I do this: 1. Press V. 2. Click on the model in the right place. 3. Press B (select the brush back). And in your videos it seems that you do this by pressing one button without switching from the Brush to the Pick and back.
just hover over the color you want to pick an hit "V" :)

@ZugZugArt15 күн бұрын
@Arni_Tolog16 күн бұрын
@ZugZugArt16 күн бұрын

Hi ZugZug! Great tutorial! I got the free 30-day trial for 3DCoat, but I can't seem to paint or fill any color to a mesh. Is there something I can do to fix this?
@ZugZugArt18 күн бұрын
Hmm... That's very strange... Maybe you have locked the layers, mesh, or materials? Check out if there is a lock icon for those
@fuwabnuuy18 күн бұрын
@@ZugZugArt Oh I see! I found a way to paint on the unlocked layers with the brush, but only white/black works, and it seems to paint the bump map of the mesh and not colors.

@ZugZugArt18 күн бұрын

To me i would love to know if pen pressure is controlling tje opactity. When u begin painting, you say 100% opacity but when you paint its not a strong color but a semi transparent. Then i would like to know what colors you re picking for the blending. I would ve loved if you slowed down what youre picking and what, but you went over really fast not really explaining why you pick certain areas and how you pick them.
@ZugZugArt18 күн бұрын
Yeah, pen pressure controls your opacity. Just check it out with different alphas and opacity settings, what you can do with the pen. No rules for picking, you go for the color you need to build the correct light/details or material :)

Very nice. 2 questions.. So you pick colors with V when you blended them and keep doing that until you have smooth shading, oder is it brush related? And is there a shortcut to swap between primary and secondary color? Can't seem to find it. 😭
@ZugZugArtАй бұрын
Yep, it's V key, just standard brushes and using pen pressure. Shortcut for colors in the same as in PS, it's - X ;)
