@@VR00100Indeed, specially if you trust them enough to leave access "in case of an emergency". Its easy to believe OP thought this way after his father's sudden death.

To me, this is one of the better stories of this type. Others usually fast forward to when the narrator has made it big, rich and popular while their family lives in poverty. This is a little more down to earth.

It seems op had some issues with crowd, if her sister wanted a baby shower at her place and if she don't want that, she could have said no instead of being grumpy. If you are not happy at the party, people will of course tell you to enjoy. And seriously who gets angry if someone moves a plant amd kept it in balcony which is were they belong. If there is big party at your house then of course some furniture will be moved.

OPs parents and brother should definitely not be invited to the future wedding unless they have a "Come to Jesus Moment" and get their priorities straight and treat OP right. They are toxic right now.

Sigh... she destroyed her own life and no one wants to deal with her because of her own problematic self. No one can change her life but herself. Emily's ex was smart to get a restraining order. You should get one too. Glad you moved. Congrats on your baby.

Can't find an alternative route that could've been taken. OP would have the right to defend themselves and the Husband. Waiting and merely pointing to a potential paternity test won't work, Mother and Daughter would refuse citing some vague principle and there'd be no resolution until that wedding. OP could've have waited until the wedding and if Mother and Daughter actually went through with their threats OP could then do the very same exposure. But that would be a play for a much larger audience, i doubt Mother as well as Daughter would want that. OP could tell Mom and daughter about how they know about this Julian dude but that might possibly endanger him, as they'd want to remove that threat to their scheme, possibly theaten what's left of his career or something. Another Issue lies with OPs Husband. If i was in his shoes and my wife was a bit wavering because she'd feel bad because telling the truth would expose these evil crones as evil crones and thereby humiliate them, i might be taking things into my own hands and expose them in the same manner. Can't make it quite as clean since more of my family would be aware and maybe not all of the wifes, leading to some new drama there but i'd be seeing myself well within my rights to defend myself from that slander. If my Wife wasn't fast enough to pull that trigger, i would do it myself. No, the Situation needed to be resolved before the wedding and infront of all the people who might be involved; that is, the Family, who needed rigid evidence in order to not leave any doubt, lest it'd be prolonging that issue by casting doubt in the minds of some. I'd acknowledge that the humiliation would be a bad thing to do and that i would have done it differently *if* i had seen a better choice.

My daughter did this. I took her in at 8. I was 18. Her mother passed my uncle was in the military in Japan, so it was me or foster care as my 53 year old father was dying he had heart disease. When my uncle came back with a new wife, he worked 20 years for the RR as an engineer and his wife, a consultant for the military. My husband is an accountant and me a nurse as I had to get a fast education. She wanted to live on the horse ranch in the 7000 sqft home and a new jeep. She left her husband and our grandchildren, and he eventually went there with her. My uncle built her a home on his property to entice her to live there. 😢 so we lost a daughter son in law and 3 grandchildren.

My wife tells me this out of nowhere? I'd say, 'okay, but take your name off any bills first'. Then the day she leaves, separate funds, change locks, and put all her stuff in storage. Change my number. Then file divorce for abandonment. I'd figure she was leaving so she could cheat. I'd never discuss anything with her. I'd ask no question. No dialogue. She's not worth the time. She's a cheating b*tch, whether or not she denied it,

Don’t worry. Things will change when you get pregnant. Then the new narrative will be how you’re holding on to grudges and won’t let see your child. You’ll still be called ungrateful, selfish, heartless, and a disappointment. I look forward to hearing that update soon.

32:02 I've been around Ohio and that area for a long time. 'Wheat fields' are just not a thing. You'll see endless rows of corn and beans (with some cows for spice) that go on until you're completely sick of the sight, but I don't think I've ever seen wheat in that entire state.

Asian writers, they think USA bread basket is all wheat. Not a mixture of grain. Where do they think high fructose corn sugar comes from? The Mayan?

So his 15 year old sister got caught smoking,and that’s what triggered this insanity,seriously? Teenagers smoking is one of the most common things teenagers try! While I am in no way proud of it, and my parents in no way allowed it I started smoking when I was 12. Do I regret it of course, but kids do dumb shit! The worst part of all is the fact that they reached out to the son they abandoned to use him to change the narrative, honestly what kind of parents does that? Oh right garbage ones!

Rachel changing the narrative? What no videography? What wedding these days doesn’t record the wedding reception and speeches. Also, there would have been dozens of people recording her speech with their phones.
@BuddManias-v9vКүн бұрын
Real best buds don’t let a woman come between them. Jake was a best bud. Jake could and should have warned his friend that Rachel was too flirty with him. He could have confirmed his friend’s concerns about her. Explained all the “inside jokes”. That could have prevented an expensive mistake.

Story 1: OP should have invited the mother and sister to a neutral place for their meeting, not their home. Also, there wasn't any need for OP to think up a plan. OP's fiance could demand a paternity test, given the mom's and sister's threats.

It amazes me in every one of these stories that the whole family caters to the child who has kids as if it becomes the responsibility of those who are childless to automatically support them. Does that really happen so frequently? It’s a load of BS. I never wanted kids and I’d never offer to take up the slack for someone else’s just because “their life is so hard”. Maybe they should have thought about that before choosing to pop them out. Your kids are not my responsibility. But then again, I only have a half sister from my dad’s first wife who I never lived with and who never had kids herself. I grew up pretty much an only child so I don’t understand that dynamic, but it still irritates me to read that siblings are forced to have their own lives disrupted by the choices of another. It makes no sense to me.

I call BS on the aunt's sudden attack of conscience. She wasn't trying to protect OP. She was trying to keep herself out of the hoorah. Why tell him all this now? He'd been hurt enough by his parents; why did he need to be hurt more knowing just how truly bad they were? I'd have told her keep her secrets to herself. It was too little too late.
